This was my favorite. I never knew how much better my parenting would be once I stopped burning my son with ramen.

I’ve only played a little of Celeste, but experienced no lag issues. I’ve played a ton of Steamworld Dig and Steamworld Dig 2 which have similar need for precision input. Every once in a while there will be some delayed inputs, but it usually goes away quickly.

I’m definitely stoked. The wife has even bought in and is excited. It’s going to be modest as far as systems like this goes, but It’s a good “pandemic winter” project and should be fun for family movie nights. Hoping to have it up and running by the new year. I built a decent 5.1 system 20+ years ago in HS but man has

Timely. This weekend I’m hanging drywall on the ceiling of a 18x13 room in my basement that I’m refinishing for a media room with at 5.1.4 atmos theater. Fury Road is definitely atop my list for viewing. Hearing about the 4K transfer on the Matrix has now put that near the top on the list.

Celeste is on Stadia right now. Played it last night for a bit. It was fun.

Thinking it’s time to lapse my NF sub considering the price bump. Or at least move to the basic plan.

Why no Stadia? They’re offering free controller and Chromecast with the Cyberpunk 2077 pre-order.

The two “non-ingredient”  key steps to great eggnog:

Potatoes, cream, butter, and thyme sous vide @ 90°C for a couple hours. Discard thyme twigs, separate liquid, rice potatoes with some roasted garlic, and the fold in buttercream liquid. Salt/pepper/MSG to taste.

Hell yeah. They get sticky. For thanksgiving, I used to roast them and do half-and-half with russet potatoes for my mashed potatoes. Delicious, but now I do sous vide mashed potatoes (freeing up more kitchen space).

Maybe for some applications the microwave is fine, but man the best part of sweet potatoes is the caramelized layer of sugars that forms under the skin when you roast them with high heat. Takes longer, but it’s just as easy and soooo much tastier.

I spatchcock, dry brine, and put it on the kamado. 45 minute cook outside leaves me plenty of time and space for the sides.

It’s still going to be a blazing bright blue screen. The FRAME can literally look like a piece of art because of dimming / temperature adjustments. I’ve had people not believe me that it’s a TV when I point it out.

But that just looks like a cheap TV connected to a laptop on screensaver mode (i.e., looks like shite). The Frame literally looks like a frame, has IQ adjust for lighting, and motion sensing. You pay more for the use case, but if what you want is something that fades into the background the Frame is excellent.

Google really just needs to add widget controls to the home app that are similar to the the new power menu controls (preferably with routines added in). Anyway, I can’t help you....

Quart containers are great, and if you order Asian food deliver/takeout on a semi-regular basis you can stay well stocked without having to buy any. One note, they’re made to withstand relative extreme heat, but they become very brittle when very cold/frozen. Just be careful if you freezing with them. I’ve had them

You sir, are a master debater. I concede the point.

I’m unable to break 42 on my Garmin as measured through my walking activities despite rigorously biking 1600 miles over the past 6 months. Any idea if there is a ceiling to measuring VOmax on low effort walking exercises?
