Hell yeah. They get sticky. For thanksgiving, I used to roast them and do half-and-half with russet potatoes for my mashed potatoes. Delicious, but now I do sous vide mashed potatoes (freeing up more kitchen space).

Maybe for some applications the microwave is fine, but man the best part of sweet potatoes is the caramelized layer of sugars that forms under the skin when you roast them with high heat. Takes longer, but it’s just as easy and soooo much tastier.
I spatchcock, dry brine, and put it on the kamado. 45 minute cook outside leaves me plenty of time and space for the sides.
Great info! Shortly after posting my initial comment, I installed a bunch of Lutron Caseta dimmers/plugs (including changing out some old Xeon under cabinets to LED so they would work with dimmers). Anyway, I’ve now been using the system for almost two years, and it’s expanded to 38 devices (15 dimmers, 4 plugs, 1…
I ended up installing Lutron Caseta (38 devices including 15 dimmers, 4 plugs, 1 switch, and 18 remotes controlling about 65 lights) almost 2 years ago, and couldn’t be happier. They’re a little expensive, but I actually appreciate the hub given how many devices I installed. I’ve also added a few wemo plugs (which…
The Majority Report is doing a 12 hour marathon from Noon-Midnight EST.
Sure. They have a margin they want to hit and, as I said in my OP, they seemingly weren’t going to hit that with multiple SKUs on the 4a. Aso, the 4a is probably not the best example of paying a brand tax as it’s competitively priced with just about every other manufacturer’s phones.
Battery size is important but it isn’t everything. I mean this review and other tests put the 4a and 4a 5g battery life pretty much neck and neck. The 5 appears to be a battery life monster tho.
What makes you think they want to lose money on hardware? Everything I’ve heard from Google is they want hardware to be a going concern. You can scream in to the void as much as you want about what they should do but it’s clear they wanted to cut costs to keep prices low. And they appear to think that cutting…
I’m sure they would have if they could have. The 3a had some other compromises that the 4 doesn’t and, as you note, it retailed for $50 more.
It would be nice. But I doubt they could hit the $350 cost with multiple SKUs.
What? I’ve had great battery life.

I’m liking the new Google Pixel strategy (I love my 4a). I think their only big misstep was including UWB on the Pixel 5 (and thus adding the $100 5g tax). I’d prefer simple, solid, and affordable phones from Google rather than them chasing the super flagships.
It’s still going to be a blazing bright blue screen. The FRAME can literally look like a piece of art because of dimming / temperature adjustments. I’ve had people not believe me that it’s a TV when I point it out.

But that just looks like a cheap TV connected to a laptop on screensaver mode (i.e., looks like shite). The Frame literally looks like a frame, has IQ adjust for lighting, and motion sensing. You pay more for the use case, but if what you want is something that fades into the background the Frame is excellent.

Oh man. Sorry to hear that. Hope everyone turns out well.
Yeah. His campaign openly disobeyed MN rules about large gatherings (after signing an agreement with State), and there have been numerous cases directly attributed to his rally in Bemidji (and Northern Mn is now a hot zone). There should be some legal recourse.
He’s obviously a Sith.
Lol. You’re sleeping in it wrong.
