“Everyone says the Brexit is going to be bad for British car companies...I’m not so sure.”
When I see a blue lives matter and a gadsen flag on any car, stockhom syndrome comes to mind.
Hondas sold in the us are made in the united states. Basically all the Japanese cars are. (there are a couple here and there that are’n’t) (i think mitsubishis are assembled here now? but don’t buy those anyways)
The problem really is that no car is “US Made” anymore. It’s a global supply chain for every component of the vehicle, so does it really matter where the final assembly is? You can’t force consumers to buy subpar vehicles just because the profits from go to the C-suite of companies that are located in America.
It’s time for some vulgarity. I’m done playing nice and pretending that there’s any middle ground here. At least six kids have died in U.S. custody in the past year from torture and neglect at U.S. concentration camps. No kids died in immigration custody in the decade before that. And now American kids are being…
1) The kid who recently got picked up by ICE was an American citizen. His mother even brought his birth certificate and they insisted it was fake. He spent a month sleeping on a floor in an overcrowded cell with 60 men. The kid lost 20 pounds because these concentration camps aren’t providing basic food or medical…
Denouncing racism and bigotry unequivocally ≠ talking about politics
maybe for track or autox in the dry, but most of the 200tw tires have compromised tread patterns that hydroplane in any kind of standing water.
i think you discount the fact that a lot of ppl who live in cities/apartments have a ton of gear for climbing/hiking/biking/camping. I live in a house w/a garage and a basement and a yard now but for many, many years i lived in downtown’s with little parking space and i still use/needed a vehicle to do stuff with.…
Basically toned down Lambo.
You may be right, but it’s a sliding scale. All of the issues that you listed would be indicative of abuse in a 30k mile vehicle, but are just evidence of use in a 186k mile vehicle. If an abused vehicle makes it to 186k miles, it tends to look considerably worse than this.
“It’s the most I’ve seen people willing to jump from brand to brand and it’s for these unique features rather than the payload and towing ability.”
It would do about as well here as the Smart car did. Or the iQ. Or the Think. Or the....
I think your problem is that the comparable cars you’ve owned/listed are also not particularly reliable, so it’s a reasonably low bar. A much higher, (and probably unrealistic bar) is that my 4Runner has never had an unplanned mechanic visit. At 140k miles I had to replace the starter contacts. Other than that, just…
Why? Its not like Bungie is making good games these days and as bad as 4/5 were for Halo games they at least weren’t Destiny.
Nah. Trump will blame Democrats and immigrants and his base will get on their knees and swallow every drop, because they’ve demonstrated a strong preference for being manipulated over having to simply acknowledge that Trump conned them.
I realize one should be careful what they wish for but I almost hope this stupid tariff shit is what causes the US to go into a recession. Sure- its apparent that pussy grabbing, obstruction of justice and separating young children from their parents at the border seems fine to the average trump supporter. But a…
Right.. Next you’re going to say we want to wean ourselves off cheap produce picked my immigrants.
Their is no reason for the U.S. Consumer to pay the Tariffs, which take effect on China today.
The MKIV supra is very distinct for a 90s car. Very few cars from the 90s look so modern and hold up as well as it does now. The only other car that has similar lines is the Lexus SC and we all know why that is.
