Pretending to be too enlightened for bullshit clickbait in the midst of vomiting out precisely said form of bullshit clickbait is, sadly, the entire operating procedure of this witless contemporary version of AVClub.

If you could record yourself talking, you’d notice yourself using “they” to refer to a single person probably multiple times a week, and in none of those circumstances would you be confused as to whether it was one person or multiple.  Also, if you “get” that “she” wants to be called they/them, then call “her”

Brutal to have to read an article referring to one person as “they” multiple times.

100% agreed. there was a moment to capitalize on and that was like 2 and a half years ago.

There’s already a decent bit of pop culture already on Jeopardy.  I mean not to slam pop culture aficionados (after all, I am posting on an entertainment website, so I kind of am one) but this really reads like Prime is just doing “Jeopardy: Easy Mode!”

I’d like to see more musicals get the Hamilton treatment: just film the stage show. No need to moviefy it.  Give some thought to the camerawork to keep it from being static, but just let the stage players do their thing.

Here’s my issue: I’ve been in 39 musicals in my life (took music theatre in college then changed career paths later). I love a good musical. What are my thoughts on the last dozen musicals-turned-to-films? I dunno cuz I missed most of them or don’t care. Why?

I once saw a comment that Jane Lynch is basically the acting equivalent of AC/DC. Because AC/DC has one type of song but they completely crush it every time they play it.

We’ll do something cool like have a cigarette and like a bar of chocolate, then we’ll go for work for like one half-hour, two half-hour ...

Jane Lynch, in a career-best performance”.

I tried launching a similar sitcom in the '90's called “This Is The Show That Never Ends”, but I received a cease and desist by Shari Lewis' lawyers.

If you name your show Not Dead Yet then you’re basically just setting yourself up for someone to cancel you just for the punchline.

It certainly would work reversed, but I assure you it works the way I’ve written it as well. I invite you to listen to me saying it in my head if you’re having trouble.

I’m more inclined to think we should he blaming editorial for this; there’s no way the demand for “content” covering this story wasn’t coming down from on high, IMO, and that’s the real source of this kind of trickle down toxicity.

Well, at least this fraught interview was conducted by a man who’s a byword for sensitivity and compassion, Piers Morgan.

What happened to Gadd was awful. The fact that people took his story and immediately turned it into an exploitative media sensation is awful.

Harder to watch than any other Piers Morgan interview? I don’t know a single thing about this guest, but a 54 minute Piers Morgan interview is already impossible to watch. A 54 second interview would be unbearable.

well I guess the important thing is to promote the interview by linking to it and making claims to be concerned for this woman's mental health

I watched Nope again last night after reading this article and have to say that I enjoyed it much more my second viewing.  It was just a fun movie.
