I knew I was doing something good all those years ordering my chicken sandwiches without tomatoes.
Actually its McGregor who whispers “These are your first steps”, the very last thing she hears after picking up the lightsaber. Nerd :)
Jesus can we stop with the “Patty Jenkins for best director” nonsense. I enjoyed 3/4 of the movie as much as the next person. And I think it has one of the best scenes in any superhero movie period, but Best Director & Best Picture? No freaking way.
I liked it. Crocodile though, fuck Crocodile. That’s going down on the bottom of the list with The National Anthem.
Luke didn’t leave the map. I think Luke’s reasons for abandoning everything are far more valid than Yoda’s. Yoda didn’t even lose the fight, he just slipped and decided he had to go into exile??? Rey is powerful because Ren turned to the darkside & the Force is trying to balance itself out, like Snoke said.
I liked it because the whole movie he’s talking about how him being a legend & his hubris is what kind of led to the fall of Ben & the Jedi. But at the end he becomes that legend, just him and a laser sword vs the entire First Order (something he couldn’t have done if his real self was there). And that is the spark…
I pretty much loved everything Luke & he went out in one of the greatest ways possible, as the legend that he was. I just hate the casino stuff, its only saving grace is that we got that kid with the broom at the end.
I think the real “Fuck You” to them was when Ben is telling her to let the past die & then Anakin /Luke’s lightsaber bursts in two. I liked that her parents are nobodies & seeing that kid with the broom at the end got me pumped for more. But seriously fuck them for giving no explanation at all about Snoke. After 7…
Not a fan of the new Thinker. So far he is just very generic and brought nothing to the lines he was delivering.
To be fair he can’t fly nor does he have super speed (i think), so there wasn’t really any way he could follow that fight.
Agreed. They definitely overused him last year, but I had no problems with him when he and Kara were together.
dear god no. I can take no more of that child. Is she going to be hanging out at the DEO asking for a ride home, because apparently this is a world where nannies, friends, or bikes don’t exist?
That fight was awesome, I rewatched it three times. They both look like they are just giving it their all. And they did the “death” of Superman/girl better in this episode of a CW show than they did in either Superman Returns or BvS.
Yeah I agree. Along with the outfits the fighting wasn’t done in the usual warehouse arena either.
Damn that death was heartbreaking. Aside from the third episode that was spinning its wheels a little bit, I immensely enjoyed this crossover. Really good. Only a couple of wishes:
They have officially stopped caring about all reasoning with time or speedsters with Wells’ line “Time travel, so confusing.” Which is such a “fuck it” attitude it kind of works for me.
I just equated it to he is basically Batman and ready for anything. So some sort of Frost-Repellent Arrow spray he’s got handy on him?
Funny that the VFXer quoted above thought that there was any good CGI done in any of the DCEU “films”
This is how you do a crossover
