this is right up there with Dances With Wolves over Goodfellas or The King’s Speech over The Social Network.

I have had to listen to such cynical BS criticism about this movie for years. People are so jaded. I love it too and not just because Gump is so likable, but because he is -essentially - a tour guide walking us through contemporary American history.

Despite its flaws, I honestly love this movie. It’s an absolute blast and a joy to watch. Hanks’ performance is incredible.

Not sure if I’ll ever see this. The first one hit me in just the right context - I was graduating high school (like Bill and Ted!), the movie was filmed where I live in Phoenix, and the soundtrack was absolutely stellar late-80s pop rock.

A decade ago you would have seen a “C” average because they reviewed a wide range of stuff including a lot that didn’t fit into the particular taste this site is catering to.

I just don’t like Bogus Journey. The first one is so fun, and the second one is pretty miserable (other than Sadler).

You had me at Erinn Hayes.

DAWES

I feel like a lot of people complain about how The AV Club has gone downhill. I still defend y’all, but for real, this is some clickbait ass shit right here.

The PS2 is a console I have really mixed feelings about.

“I told you that Instagram influencer was a giant chicken!”

Kinja never loads properly in this slideshow format. I can only see the first comment, and then everything beneath it is cut off.

Bully is amazing & I can’t wait to hear the new music.

SNL is killing the Guest Actor categories as well, with their hosts hogging up a lot of those slots.

there was a time when the academy couldn’t stop over-nominating Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, and Modern Family, and now it trends “highbrow” and insists on over-nominating Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but keeps Saturday Night Live in there to appeal to the plebes.
