Glancing at my iTunes library, 1998 is the year from the 90's that I have the least amount of music from. That said, would like to bring up PJ Harvey’s “Is This Desire?”, which is a damn solid album from someone who’s put out quite a few damn solid albums.

I find each DCFC album has been gradually more competent ever since they bottomed out with “Codes and Keys”. This one has some throwaway songs, but also the strongest closing track they’ve done since “Stable Song”.

Looking at the order of Futurama’s S1 episodes, that run in the back half of “Hell Is Other Robots” through “Fry and the Slurm Factory” is as brilliant as the rest of the series’ run. So while I wouldn’t argue with those first several episodes being rocky, Season 1 still hits its stride eventually. I’m cautiously

About 10 years ago, I saw these clowns open for Snow Patrol, another band that no one’s heard from since the previous decade. The singer got pissed off as hell at the crowd for not knowing the words to this godawful song, then restarted it halfway through and demanded everyone sing along this time, so the crowd who

When I was younger, I stayed with my grandparents for a week during the summer. There was a day they took me to Costco for lunch. Not to buy lunch, but to EAT lunch. Their idea of a cost-friendly lunch was going around to every sample stand at Costco and eating the birdfeed-sized morsels, and they had elderly friends

Best of luck and best wishes on future endeavors, Matt. I’ve never been too active on the Gameological part of the site, being a pretty casual game-player these days. But about a month ago, I asked for your input on Celeste, as it was the type of game I normally steer clear of, but one of your blurbs caught my

For what it’s worth, the Good Place S2 DVD is now out, which is great news if you’re like me and refuse to leave the cozy comfort of the year 2002.

YOU WATCHED IT, YOU CAN’T UNWATCH IT.

Yeah, even as someone who’s not a hardcore Marvel person, I knew they’re too smart to have this movie completely ignore Infinity War. So while everyone was gasping in the theater, I just muttered “Nice” quietly, and my friends looked at me weird.

The more I think about it, I think Rick and Morty is taking this one. Bob’s won just last year for a Valentine’s episode, and though this year’s was good too, it seems redundant. I know Emmy voters are creatures of habit, but still.

If it’s any consolation, all Emmy voters are going to the Bad Place.

There are many reasons why SNL hogging half the comedy supporting actress slots YET AGAIN angers me, one of the top reasons being that they’re spots that could’ve gone to Donna Lynne Champlin.

I remember we complained about this same thing last year, where Leslie and the SNL co also hogged half the spots in the category. There are so many more deserving spots from more unique shows (Donna Lynne Champlin, Jameela Jamil, Stephanie Beatriz, etc.) that it’s easily the most infuriating category for me.

I looked at the animation field and felt something was missing (I don’t even remember what South Park episode that is). That was it. BoJack. “Stupid Piece of S***” had a bigger impact on me than every Pickle Rick meme out there.

The Emmys typically haven’t been favorable for Michael Schur shows, sadly. Even Parks and Rec only got a handful of noms, and didn’t win a single one of them.

From what I’ve heard of the new songs, “danceable” seems to mean more of a St. Vincent-like vibe, and St. Vincent still shreds her guitar in a pretty angsty manner.

Hey, garbage person Azealia Banks could be a nice distraction for her from garbage person Elon Musk.

Self-titling your debut album? I’ll accept it. Self-titling anything after that? Fuck off.

That band who spells their name “!!!” I saw them at a festival once and thought they were pretty fun. But I’ll be damned if a name like that makes it into my iTunes. I already get a brain aneurysm every time I scroll down past that 3rd Bon Iver album and see its song titles like “<+[]_β υ τ τ $_0_o>”

As a decade-long fan of Portugal the Man, I still refuse to spell their name the “proper” way.
