Meh, surviving one nuclear bomb won’t kill you. There’s plenty of people who survived Hiroshima and Nagasaki or were present at plenty of nuclear tests in the 1960s. who were fine (at least in the short term). If Tom, Stu, or Kojak live long enough to get cancer down the line, I’d say it’s still a win.

It depends on where she is in treatment.  Vaccines aren’t generally given to people in the midst of chemotherapy because they’re unable to mount an immune response, rendering the vaccine useless.  Vaccines made of attenuated live virus can be dangerous in patients undergoing chemo but this doesn’t apply to any of the

I loved most of the high-concept X-files episodes but “Jose Chung’s” is the best by far, followed by “Bad Blood”. I even enjoyed “the Post-Modern Prometheus” until I watched it again as an adult and realized how rapey it is.

Human reads headline but skips article full of important details.

It was almost the same for me but I decided to go see Parasite at our local indy theatre right before COVID so at least I went out on a slightly higher note.

I sort of have the opposite problem in that I think every white actor I see is Michael Fassbender (Tom Hiddleston, Sam Claflin, others I’m forgetting).

A broken clock is right twice a day, monkeys typing out Shakespeare on typewriters, blah blah blah.

I haven’t actually watched The Crown but I have had that same thought Re: Charles and Camilla. But I think it’s a bit unfair because I imagine it was much easier for Edward to abdicate since his monarch parent was already dead and he was in charge. I don’t know a lot about Mary of Teck but I think she was a pretty

Idk, I pretty much feel bad for everyone involved (although I feel the worst for Diana). Charles and Camilla always knew what they wanted (each other). Charles certainly could have been braver and abdicated a la his great-uncle and saved everyone a lot of time and trouble but he was in a bit of a different position

Let’s just put Dolly and Harriet Tubman on all the bills.  I’m sick of old white men.

How do you know that they don’t already do that?

It’s a pretty common place for viruses to hide out even when gone from other bodily fluids so virus researchers tend to test it when dealing with emerging diseases.

My roommate’s boyfriend had the same line of thinking when we were watching it. But the way her slurped and burped so gleefully makes me think otherwise.  But I hope you’re right.

About 50% of my psychological problems can be attributed to seeing Darby O'Gill as a child.  The other 50% are due to seeing the animated Watership Down.

And it took forever to log in to AOL via dial up.  Not enough time between Seinfeld and ER.

I can personally attest to this.  I was a carless, cableless tween/teen in 1997-1999 and had to sit through a number of mind-numbing episodes of Veronica’s Closet because it was too time consuming to log into AOL via dial up between Seinfeld and ER.  It made me yearn for the good old days of Caroline in the City and

Oh god, I very much hope you are wrong for... uh... personal reasons.

Rearly?  He's pretty consistently critical of Trump 0n Twitter and is usually anti-Proud Boy, Pro-BLM, etc.  If he is a trumpster, he is hiding it well.

I don't think intelligence is required to dupe Rudy.

I think Rocky Horror came out 45 years ago.  I think that’s more than “in a while”.
