It’s fucking insane!  Like in what world is anyone pretending that Dem rhetoric is what got us here?  He’s being called a threat to democracy because he has literally said that he wants to have absolute power. He literally wants to end democracy.  It’s not rhetoric to call a spade a spade.

Legit. He’d have absolutely nothing kind or peaceful or “violence has no place in politics” if this attempt had been on Biden. So I don’t know why we’re breaking our backs to be “the bigger person” here. I’m not saying I want anybody to die, but I’m not gonna pretend I’m shocked and appalled or all that heartbroken eit

Just do like a lot of us and wish for his long overdue heart attack to hit instead

Nah, dude’s been “feeling it” for years. There is no bottom. None.

Now playing

I don’t think you are paying attention. He’s been threatening political violence for years now.

Biden’s “bullseye” remark was clearly a metaphor, one tailor-made for a country that has more guns than people. Trump, meanwhile, has talked repeatedly about having his political rivals executed for treason. This includes, it’s important to note, sham military tribunals for Congresspeople/civilians, such as Liz

If somebody killed Biden, Trump’s comments would be on the lines of “see, that’s what you get!”

Even President Joe Biden had to apologize for his metaphorical remark that it was ‘time to put Trump in a bullseye’”

The thing with the Jedi is that they’re always bad at what they do. Turns out that kidnapping children and trying to raise them with no emotions makes for adults that make bad decisions based on the emotions they spend so much time repressing.

Always nice to see more openly non-binary folk out there. I used to think there were hardly any of us, but I keep finding out about more celebrities who are NB and realising there’s more out there than I thought.

Solo is a good juxtaposition. Take away all the stupid callbacks (gold dice! how did Solo get his name!) and it’s a terrific adventure movie. It’s more Indiana Jones than the last 2 Indiana Jones flicks. The execution of the action scenes, from the American Graffiti-style car chase to Han Solo shooting Tobias Beckett

My problem with non-gendered awards is that women are already undervalued in Hollywood, while having to work harder. Women actors spend most of their time emoting, while men spend it running around and blowing up stuff.

I really don’t want the preponderance of awards going to guys blowing up stuff.

The whole thing was him being a super petty insecure prick to his wife. He in no way did what he did to help her in any way. He was a shitty husband putting her in her place after taking her for granted. If he had a wake up call, good for him, but she should have told him to fuck off.

D’Arcy was predominantly a stage actor before HOTD; even the most famous stage actors aren’t particularly easy to spot in public. And even after HOTD’s first season aired, they mentioned that they could still mostly go about unrecognized due to the pretty drastic difference between in and out of costume (they’ve even

It doesn’t matter if “in his mind he’s not abusing her” if in actuality he’s abusing her. Expressing interest in spywork is not consenting to mean-spirited humiliation at the hands of what should be a trusted loved one.

The overwhelming majority of actors are unsuccessful, but they still act anyway. It’s the sort of thing that a lot of people do for the sheer love of it, while working regular day jobs.

You said it yourself, it doesn’t justify his approach. The misogyny is that it tries to justify spousal abuse because it make him a better man. Just because she’s willing to go on a mission doesn’t mean she consents to her husband lying, manipulating, and attempting to sexually demean her.

But, according to the author of this piece, if you’re man, it’s not your place to find it misogynistic, since a handful of women didn’t.

Yeah, that scene is still awful and misogynistic, even if we can appreciate how talented Curtis is within its mean-spirited framework.

It’s a stupid, shambling mess of a movie with a few nice touches that show what a terrific popcorn movie and potential franchise was just sitting there waiting to be plucked. The winter action scene was an even better “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” homage than the one in “Inception” and the ending worked really
