Yeah, sometimes I feel like I can’t take them more seriously, until they take themselves more seriously.

You’ve already been told it’s not a ballot access problem, but here is a long-time Green Party member and organizer explaining very clearly and very well why it’s Green Party organizational problem. If you are actually invested in the future of the Greens, this is required reading. Really brilliant.

Given that they have major party status in DC, the city council guarantees a seat to someone who is not the same part as the chair, and still get spanked by independents, I’m beginning to believe this true.

They have major status in DC. As do Libertarians. They just don’t bother to use it. The Republicans have basically called it a day because their social policy is toxic in the city. They didn’t run anyone for mayor. The Greens ran a crazy lady who spews actual nonsense, but has run for mayor for the last few decades.

The Green Party has major party status in DC. They have no ballot access problems. They have a shitty candidate problem. Independents regularly beat them in a city where a non-majority party is guaranteed one seat on the Council. Given that the Republican brand is too shitty and homophobic for DC, to the point they

Harambe was the product of a gorilla breeding program that is trying to save his species. He wouldn’t even have existed without the efforts of zoos. To use his story to argue that zoos are automatically evil is asinine.

The “vaccines would be good if they were safer” argument IS an anti-vax argument.

“One of the issues I used to work on was reducing mercury exposure. That was an issue at one point in vaccines. That’s been rectified.”

But if a lion had been killed, that would be a big cat-astrophe.

I really want to take the Green Party seriously, but they make it so fucking hard. Like if they would run serious candidates in DC local elections I would vote for them. But they can’t seem to do that. And ny serious candidates I mean someone who wants to talk about something that is not foreign policy when running

They have over 100 partners in the NYC office alone... just checked

I think the zoo jumped the gun as it’s unclear that Harambe would have harmed the child, but that said you can’t wait until after he *has*.So I understand why they reacted the way they did but I think it may have been unnecessary.

Who knows how big of a client Sony actually is for Proskauer? Both firms I have worked for have done work for Sony at one point or another, but in both cases it was clearly a small one-off thing, that was a drop in the bucket compared to some of our more core clients. No corporation the size of Sony is going to use

The husband might not even know Proskauer Rose probably currently or at one point represented any number of big name companies. My friends at big firms who do transactional work have no idea what clients the litigation department represents

Not necessarily sure. Her husband works for Proskauer Rose, which is a massive global big law firm with more than 700+ attorneys. If Sony was a direct client of his, that would be a problem, but the mere fact that an attorney at Proskauer represents Sony probably isn’t enough to be unethical. He seems to focus on

I don’t think there’s anything here to question. He saw her as an afterthought then and he still does now. It was a “painful time in his life” and she’s dead. I think it’s an edifying journey through the mind of a rapist.

Chief Queef: “That’s rape culture. It’s toxic for men and deadly for women.”

Honestly, this is the other side of the coin to how I was raised in the small-town South: I was raised that ladies are always the pursued and NEVER the pursuer; and that ladies should never show any interest in sex. In short, girls were kind-of raised to “say no” when they were thinking “yes”. It is messed up. That is

I know people will find this interview shocking, but I think he’s actually being honest here. This is what boys are taught in this culture: push her until she says no. And if she can’t say no...oh well. This message is reinforced throughout the media and popular culture. That’s rape culture. It’s toxic for men and

And in doing such, Michelle Obama, our Lady of Elegant Eyerolls, she who never wades into the muddy waters of pedestrian drama, stood on that stage in a majestic blue gown, bangs swooped to next Sunday, and threw shade for the ages and, more importantly, for the American people.
