I agree. While not a great movie, it was a fun movie. It was over the top and completely absurd, and knew it. It felt like a comic book come to life, rather than just being an action movie starring Batman.

It’s cyberpunk. If you showed me that top screenshot and told me the game looked like that intentionally, I’d believe it.
To be fair, this happened back in what, June? Pretty early in the vaccine process when no one had any idea which companies were going to come up with anything, let lone something effective. Hindsight is 20/20. Not buying hundreds of millions of something that might never exist in favor of increasing the odds of…
I also loved the first campaign quest with the play. The pure fun and absurdity of the story reenactment, while in the audience Ysera is visibly horrified learning about what happened during the rest of Legion and BFA.
I didn’t mind the guided story so much. My only real complaint is that the pacing was completely out of whack. Compared to say, FFXIV’s laser precision where MSQ keeps character and quest levels almost perfectly even (on a first character, anyway) In SL I hit 60 halfway through Ardenweald, and that was with only a…
It’s the difference between moving your head and moving a camera.
The fact that 20+ years later you’ve gotten used to it doesn’t make it a good idea.
Okay, just so we’re clear on what happened here. This is how it played out, right?
Yeah. In 1998, “40 hours of gameplay!” was a big enough deal to be a back of the box selling point. Today if your game is only 40 hours people will laugh at your cute little mini adventure.
but only because there are no laws in Judaism that I’m aware of which bar believers from wearing horrifically ugly dresses that look like two Sesame Street characters sewn together.
With the exception of the PS2, there was never a good reason to buy a system at launch instead of waiting at least a few months for more games and better hardware. The PS2 is the notable here because it had full backwards compatibility and was also a DVD player back in the days when they were still fairly expensive…
Yeah. I enjoyed the newer games but they’re missing the sheer weirdness of the originals.
Nickelodeon, Voyager...? Doesn’t Space Cases already exist?
Warner Bros. Games President Says Transphobe J. K. Rowling Has “The Right To Hold Her Opinions”
I’m always fascinated by these EVE topics despite having absolutely no interest in playing the game. The idea of it is just so interesting.
Yeah. Divine Dash is one of the best boons you can get. Even though the damage is negligible the deflection is almost passive if you’re dashing constantly (and why aren’t you?)
I seem to recall there being and in game comment about how he only likes pets on the one head.
The church fight is amazing, which is honestly one of the biggest problems with the movie. When the high point is 20 minutes into the movie it can only go downhill from there.
Yeah. “New lead investigating what happened to the old lead” is fine as a concept but it requires a LOT of behind the scenes setup and basically an entirely new supporting cast to make it work. That’s something you plan very far in advance, not something you decide at the last minute. With enough advance notice it’s a…
I wish we had more late night cafes and the like a la Europe and parts of Asia frankly, with a focus on quality coffee or other non-alcoholic beverages rather than just mocktails.
