“Really competent movie tie-in game” is pretty much exactly the vibe for this game. It reminded me of EA’s early Lord of the Rings games since it just copied other games but with the serial numbers filed down and the license slapped on top of it but with great production values (I guess I’m really thinking of The

Was Fallen Order actually good or just good compared to the rest of EA’s Star Wars output? I thought the gameplay was a passable souls-like, but the story was like watching paint dry. Cal has to be the most bland video game protagonist in recent history and that’s really saying something.

NONE?? Jack Black is absolutely killing it here, and for my money, seems to be carrying the whole movie on his performance. Based on a total of 5 minutes of trailers, sure. But still haha.

I’m mostly there with you on that, but Jack Black’s Bowser is surprisingly great. It sounds like he’s actually playing Bowser rather than just doing Jack Black things.

The movie in itself looks good but the voices are not it...like even my love for Anya Taylor-Joy is not enough to tell me that her voice was a match for Peach...

NONE of the voice talent is doing it for me.

Still confused on chris pratt, especially since they seem to have him using marios catch phrases anyway.

This is yet another reminder of how greedy and cheap Nintendo has become since 2006. Since the Wii launch, their strategy has been using the cheapest/weakest hardware possible. They released the Switch with the Tegra X1 when the X2 was already offered by Nvdia, andeven worse: they also decided to release the Switch

I realized that the steamdeck makes a fantastic DS/3DS emulation device and have been playing tons of my old games on there.

Sure I could go dig up my 3DS and play it on there but it’s so nice being able to go from Jak 3 or whatever to pokemon black or Mario 3D land.

I’ve had my steam deck for over a month now and I’m

It’s so funny this article came up because now when I look at my Switch wish list, I go to see if the same game is available (usually cheaper) on Steam! Not being tied down with a laptop or PC to play Steam games is game-changing.

The only thing I was playing on my Switch that I don’t already have on PC was Hyrule Warriors. I can’t envision another scenario in which I’d pick up my Switch over my Steam Deck. Maybe Breath of the Wild 2? Glad I grabbed that instead of a PS5 or Xbox. Either of those probably would have collected dust, too.

Good to see Posey Parker has enough time out of her busy time palling with neo nazis to make posts on the AV Club. How very brave of her......................

To be silent is to be complicit in her own undervaluing. Will some jags label her difficult? Yep, and she won’t work with those difficult jags saving herself future headaches. There will also be people who admire her taking a stand and demanding to be paid what she is worth and will want to work with somebody with

half my 14 year Dev career has been spent in QA - I don’t know what think goes on outside of the hallowed walls of QA, but it smacks of envy that you think there’s a work disparity. When you move from a support roll to an active Dev roll, the stakes get higher, scrutiny on yourself becomes gets raised, the hours get
