I’d wager the only difference between Koenigsegg, Pagani (I’ll even throw in Bugatti) vs. the rest of the auto industry IMO - is they they don’t have a budget dictating engineering details - they’re simply building the fastest rocket they possibly can - only restrained by their imagination - not the beancounters. Look

A wise man once said if you have to ask why - then its probably not meant for you. But there’s 25 extremely lucky one percenters out there that get the point exactly.

I used to live in Harvey back then- me and my friends used to break into the closed off structure and in the mostly pitch dark (no lights on in there) ride our bikes through the mall deserted back in the 80's (yeah that was kinda dumb looking back) - as a kid I had no clue of its historical connection to Blues

Still a great looking coupe. Lexus 90's designs were some of the best. I’m hoping someday car design returns to more simplistic roots like this. Kinda like fashion - nothing ever really goes out of style and simplicity such as this will (hopefully) come back around within another decade or two. I mean seriously -

Best digital dash ever.

Missiles to the left, passenger ejection just above it, seat smoke screen just underneath that, machine guns on the right, oil slick underneath that - and submarine transformation lever just to the left of steering wheel.

When I see I this I just wanna scream “Good shot Red 2!!!” - dash looks like the car is lining up for a torpedo shot at the Death Star.

Burn them ALL.

For 1999 these weren’t bad cars - especially given most of the crap GM approved for production back then. That Aurora STILL looks decent.

Every BMW and Audi exec has read your post and have no clue what you’re talking about.

Back doors are fake - this is just two doors - the proportions give it away.

I’d guess a two door Velar - but the ground clearance is way too high. My final guess is a Wrangler fighter - return of the Defender?

Wouldn’t get stuck in an intersection either lol.

I was thinking more of this.

You can take out the “look cool” part.

How is it even able to move - hopes and dreams???

No that would be a Smart car. I say a prayer for every driver I see in one of those on the highway.

The Versa may be boring with a CVT that borders on torture - but as long as it starts up every morning, needs very little maintenance and sips gas - I’m pretty sure that qualifies as a good cheap car that satisfies most of its buyers.

Yep. There’s a 09 Nissan Murano in my garage right now with 140k miles, fully maintained and has been very reliable outside normal wear and tear. As long as it holds up my son will inherit it - its not going anywhere.

Someday I wish to be rich enough to take my $200k Porsche thru a gravel pit and give zero fucks.
