Is this a bit?

I think calling anyone “fucker” or “motherfucker” or anything else in a professional setting is playing with fire.

Amazing you would equate sexual assault with career politics. It’s disgusting that you would have so little regard for survivors of rape and abuse. That’s gross and also ethically wrong, but then women have been dealing with that ish since before the invention of motion pictures.

I don’t understand show business. I mean, there’s lots to it I don’t understand about it. But one of the many things is being in an industry where you can call someone “motherfucker” and not (A) get fired (B) still able to “patch things up.” When I started my career, in a newsroom, I did on occasion get yelled at,

Still makes me anxious. I’d like to build one of those PVC pipe slides to just shoot candy down my front steps and maintain some distance. Not very handy so if anyone has any tips/resources/examples they’d like to share I’m all ears/eyes.

I keep my edibles on a high shelf in my bedroom closet, sealed and triple bagged. I know exactly how many there are. I may be more anal about it than most but there is no universe where anyone is accidentally — or intentionally -- handing them out to kids on Halloween.

I agree. I don’t mind a prequel set in the same universe utilizing peripheral or net new characters. But something with a foregone conclusion better be doing something really interesting/special to pique my interest.

Thanks - and to be clear, I agree with you that an honest, objective reading (viewing?) of the Sopranos does not romanticize the mob. I’ve vaguely remember reading that David Chase himself was vexed that people didn’t get that.

Bread’s just easier to have on hand. I’ve seen it on potatoes, sandwiches, vegetables, really I think you can put it on whatever the hell you want.

100%. I don’t think it was people so much wanting to be actual mobsters as it was to pretend they were mobsters, ape that behavior, etc. Casual threats of violence, conspicuous consumption, acting like there’s some “code” of behavior that they’re honoring and defending. Walk into any boardwalk shop on the Jersey shore

Raclette is fucking amazing. I had a Swiss coworker who introduced it to me; at an office potluck he brought his whole raclette contraption into the office and set it up. It’s basically a stand for holding a wheel/wedge of cheese next to a candle. He scrapped the melted cheese onto toast and everyone was very happy.

While I agree with you, I cannot tell you how many people I know who watched the Sopranos and inexplicably came away idolizing the characters and their behavior.  There is a large segment of the population that is simply too dumb to be trusted with television.

I appreciate the sentiment of what Craig is saying — in the broader, moral, philosophical sense he is 100% correct that women an people of color deserve their own stories.

Wow did not realize that’s how it was up there. I always hear great things about how Norway does things, but whoever is explaining that to me always seems to forget that they’re talking about a relatively small, relatively homogenous population, that is sitting on a fuck-ton of oil. Interesting to hear there are other

Fascinating. I’ve seen a similar — exaggerated actually — version of this in some Persian Gulf countries/Emerites.

Don’t stop believing

Gotta get the kid’s test scores up somehow

What about a show about an Old Tony? You know, after the family shares a plate of onion rings and bonds on an otherwise uneventful night out, and AJ gets his shit together, Meadow becomes a successful if somewhat boring contract lawyer, and Tony and Carmela go to marriage counseling an work out their issues? And then

“farm upstate” - genuinely thought this was going to be an obit for the horse

Good to see the tourism industry has bounced back
