Very outspoken. As a non-UK person, all I hear about is what a monster she was. I’ve legit never heard anyone defend her.

I always equate Thatcher w/ Reagan as parallel figures in terms of their impact on culture and so forth. But Thatcher seems so much more universally hated in the UK, while Reagan is still a saint to half the US (ironic, given that he likely couldn’t win a Republican primary for dog catcher with his policies today).

As bummed as I am to say goodbye to a show and characters I love, I always respect it when creators place quality over quantity and bow out after having told the story they wanted to tell.

Between the casting and the costuming this is pretty accurate

OO sorry friend, this is where we diverge. Paul Walker’s track record with underage girls (shivers) I can’t get on board. I know he was beloved and all that but I Have Questions.

Agree, I could see Malek working overtime to nail whatever he has to nail for his stint to be a success, or at least not a disaster.

It’s not just you. This is a dude who is likely worth several million $$$ who purchased his suit off the rack at Sears.

I mostly just remember him as a buffoon. I grew up in the NY/NJ area in the 80s and 90s. Do you remember Crazy Eddie? Donald Trump basically occupied the same space in my mind. Basically a more famous version of like a used car salesman or owner of a mattress store. A cartoon come to life that you didn’t take

I have heard numerous rumors re: his involvement w/ organized crime but confess I know none of the details. I do know that the Trump Organization itself is essentially run like an organized crime family, but the stuff about him and actual mobsters from his early days, I’d love to hear about it if anyone has details.

I grew up in Jersey, where we are blessed with an abundance of beautiful, flavorful, plump tomatoes. So you get tomatoes everywhere - on sandwiches, in salads, in sauces, etc. And they’re great.

She probably wanted him to know/think it was her because he basically destroyed her family.

Folks are highlighting that this is a waste of time, that he’ll lose again, etc etc. And they are right. But I think Trump’s goals are different than a conventional victory in the court of law:

The episode were Rivers rants non-stop about how the Palestinians deserve to be dead and “the ones who were killed were the ones with very low IQs” should be interesting.

Honestly feels like splitting hairs for me — I think all these shows are top tier programs. I definitely agree re: Breaking Bad since we’re throwing that in the mix.

By my very unscientific, anecdotal observation, I have noticed the folks I know who liked Tony the most — the people who thought he was a hero — “didn’t get”/disliked the ending the most, and in fact refuse to believe it was a death scene.

Someone else commented that maybe the audience will finally dislike these guys as much as David Chase wanted them too, which I thought was pretty funny and also on point.

JUSTICE 4 HOWIE lol

From Jersey, school in Chicago, spent 15 years in DC, relocated to Seattle in 2016. More recently I moved about 50 miles south of the city for more space/cheaper cost of living. I seem to be on the border of where the suburbs start to become “country as hell” up here. But I can see how maybe the radius is a little
