So theres been info on smart delivery, but is there any clarification on how cross gen upgrades work on ps5? If I buy digital, I know I’m good. If I buy physical, will I need the ps4 disc in my ps5 to play the ps5 version of some of these games?

But.. you don’t make $300 million. You pay money out of pocket to develop the game in the first place, including insurance and salaries of the development team. You also pay for marketing. And the vast majority of games don’t sell 5 million copies, at least not day 1 when they are full price. 

Serious question: why is this appealing in the slightest bit? Why would you not just rent the movie and watch it at your leisure instead of watching it inside a game?

Honestly I'm more tempted to buy it now for current gen systems because of this,, assuming CDPR gives us a free upgrade to the ps5 version like they are doing for the Sexbox

While it is shitty, yeah, having purchased the game previously obviously excludes you from a trial of the game. Despite how complicated it was for him to redeem the game on a second ps4 account, its easy and doable, so you can test to see if you would like the game that way. You aren't getting far in 30 days anyway

I think it doesn’t do that because of the way the classes work. In WoW, you have your max level character and alts. FF14 doesn’t have alts, 1 character can be every class. It would be shitty if you logged out as a level 40 anything, for example, then couldn’t log in because you were a class above that level 35…

There are plenty of free trial periods, or “return” campaigns. It might be a slightly convoluted system, but if you want to play, you are $13 away from just playing

The real questions include whether they are being made for next gen consoles, and whether purchasers of the game will get 2.0 for free. 

Yep, sure never happens with Steam, or XBL, or PSN. Definitely only EGS, that awful, free, very easy to download and never worry about client that actually punches you repeatedly in the balls or ovaries whenever you double click the icon

At this point it's just preference. I vastly prefer lined up sticks, which is why I went with an 8bitdo and use it more than my switch pro controller, and use the DS4 on pc when I need to play on that.
