This was actually the easiest thing I ever had to name. One of my series, and in that series one of my favorite games, with an island setting already and a fantastic tune I can change the town jingle into? Of course I named it Koholint, as unoriginal as it might be.

The difference is everyone was whining and complaining about pokemon without highlighting the good aspects of the game. You would think, based on the vocal minority, that SwSh were awful games, when in fact they were pretty damn good. ACNH is, in contrast, an absolutely amazing game, so the one major drawback is

Pray to Odin or whatever deity you follow you don't stumble upon Tarantula Island. Unless you like making money

I don’t think this is breaking street date, I doubt Gamestop went ahead with this without an okay from id and Bethesda. Maryland, where I live, is starting to really freak out (which is where Bethesda is, and it's also very close to DC). This isn't surprising

I wonder if that will apply to other stores as well, like Best Buy and Target.

After trying to get the jump on some normal, biweekly essentials before the hysterical hoarders buy out everything (seriously, big box store was a fucking madhouse for absolutely no reason), I got the hankering to play some Last of Us to prep for part 2.

I love Nintendo. I love Lego. I thought I would love this collaboration. While I don’t dislike it, I’m just.. confused by it. As an AFOL, it doesn’t exactly look like something that’s easy to display. And I’d be afraid to give LCD screen mario to my kids, because that looks like a $20-30 thing 9n its own.

So.. your rant comes down to being upset that a hard game isn't for you, and that you might as well settle for not hard games? You can, I don't know, enjoy other games? I'm not good at, nor particularly like racing games, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating the genre and the people who do enjoy them

It had its issues, but was nowhere near a bad game, and certainly not the worst in the series. I've been saying that for years, and it holds as true today as it did when it first came out

Sounds to me like a great precedent to set: be extremely shitty, after repeatedly being warned, and you will get severely punished.

There's plenty of room in the industry for games of all types, multiplayer, single player, and everything in between

I could go with any number of Zelda games, but OoT and BotW were just so special in so many ways that I wish I could go back and play them for the first time. Also, I've played it countless times across several different platforms, but the first few years of Harvest Moon on ps1 were amazing to me.

There’s no need for a pro version. The console is still selling amazing, so they don’t need to inject new sales. The base is massive, so they wouldn’t splinter it by making it play exclusive games. The handheld aspect of it limits how you can beef it up while keeping it viable in that regard. The XboneX and ps4 pro

It had, what, 2 games and SNES games locked behind it? Given the paltry releases I'd say it didn't go over too well.

You are paying for the servers. It's why Pokemon Bank cost money on 3ds

What you are actually saying, despite me not liking it and stating as much, is that I'm sexist and racist for saying anyone who isn't a white male has a harder time in the industry. I didn't know talking about systemic issues is also racist. No wonder nothing ever changes if people just get angry for stating the

How exactly am I infantilizing anyone?

You pay $30 for new content, and $0 in an update that adds them in the game. I guess lynch mob mentality =/= comprehension. Shocking

I’m not sure whether to be proud of how far we’ve come, or ashamed at how toxic and gross this industry as a whole was, and still is, toward anyone who isn’t a white male. Great piece, as a white male it really puts into perspective how difficult it is for any other ethnicity / gender / sexual orientation to be

There is still nothing good about a game being remade, but broken up into multiple, unnecessary parts. 1 game turning into 3, 4, 5 or more games just tells me how horribly they are trying to milk such a beloved (but still not the best ps1 FF) game, and how much bloat there will be in every installment.
