I dont understand how brazil, or any underveloped nation, keeps getting these games. First the world cup which they spent billons in public money while hospitals were crumbling near stadiums, now they get the Olympics which they dont have the infrastructure to support either. Underdeveloped nations shouldnt be winning…

I was exaggerating the points aspect but the fines and jail time can be very real if you go doubke the speed limit.

Apparently this an agreed upon deal signed by jimmy carter and they are fulfilling it now as the US prisoners were released and the nuclear deal completed.

If this happened in the US his licence would have been suspended for atleast a year plus a few months in jail, a 1000$+ fine, and a lifetime supply of points on his licence to the point where his insurance would either drop him or quadruple his rates.
