That makes me really wish Reubens had committed to his original "one kid Pee-wee movie and one adult Pee-wee movie" plan as far as new movies. (Although I certainly don't know if he's given that up or not.)

I'd upvote, but there are currently 69 upvotes and I wouldn't want to be the one to mess that up.

I don't know if you can really call it "dating" in Big Adventure. He still looks even reluctant to be there with her.

I'm tempted to kiss her….and teach them a lesson.

Speaking of "he does this every day," I've spent more time than I wanted to trying to figure out how long it takes him to reassemble all his Rube Goldberg contraptions.

Yeah, I mean I was too young back when Playhouse was on to pick on any "gay" tendencies; I pretty much only noticed that he was effeminate, and even so, the fact that he's a manchild pretty much just explained it away for me. I don't know, I guess it was just never something I even thought to pick up on. I also am

Did anybody else catch "You'd think!" when Joe Manganiello mentioned "Magic Mike" while he was rattling off roles he's had?

It's important for people to keep in mind that Pee-Wee was created by adults for adults. In fact, his appearance in "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie" is technically as Pee-Wee.

Yeah, I rewatched it for the first time in years a couple months ago. It held up.

I'm surprised it didn't go the extra mile and give you an Alia Shawkat in a fuzzy sweater notification.

I know the point wasn't for Large Marge to look realistic, but it looks so incredibly unrealistic nowadays with CGI that that it probably wouldn't affect kids much like it would have back then. (Get off my lawn.)

And even that isn't really something a kid would get.

It made me feel funny.

I also couldn't un-see the kind-of-bad CGI covering up the parts of Pee-Wee's neck that were being held back by tape and wire to stretch his skin out and hide his wrinkles. (EDIT: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/…

I never realized how steeped in queery theory Pee-Wee was (it was just never on my radar as a straight guy). Turns out there's a good deal of scholarly research on Pee-Wee's sexuality (or lack thereof?).

I sound like a total douchebag trying to play up the fact that I majored in Communication Sciences…but one of my favorite classes was Children & Mass Media taught by a professor who literally wrote the (well, a) book on the topic. Academically speaking, Pee-Wee was one of the best and most educational children's shows

Michael Keaton as…well, everybody…would be fantastic.

I think the real standout of this film was Alia Shawkat's bodacious rack.

Complete with a little beak and colored-in feathers.
