I've got the usual reservations about Kickstarter and crowdfunding, but it's one of those things…if you can find enough suckers to fall for it (so long as you aren't being dishonest), more power to you.

I too love the first Tracy movie. But I don't think it would do as well today. The sets and art of the first movie are pretty fantastic, but they were very early-'90s (similarly, I still think Burton's "Batman" looked great, but a movie of similar visual quality today would look subpar).

The AV Club put it this way when "The Wolverine" came out, but my fiancee and I saw it thinking the whole time about how it could have been an Aronofsky movie.
