Or the time when he had multiple blue penasia.
Or the time when he had multiple blue penasia.
Great ending. It really was.
Apparently he's also a dick who doesn't donate to his alma mater, Wesleyan University. (Or at least doesn't donate much: I can't quite remember the specifics of what my friend, who is a Wesleyan film alum, told me.)
Well, remember when Jesse first recommended Saul to Walt? He assumedly had had some experience dealing with him in the past.
"A little light in the britches"
Wow. If that's true, that's remarkable.
So, Sony paid how much for that line?
Oh yeah definitely. And, because of trial and error, we know that no subtext made it creepier.
It's strange. It's 100% conceivable that a weirdo like that looking at a naked woman through a peephole would be jacking off. But it's way out of place just because it wasn't in the original. So, I can definitely justify Van Sant adding it; it just plain doesn't work.
You're totally right, Vaughn was miscast; not his fault at all. What's even less his fault is that in retrospect, now that he's been a comedy star for around a decade, his casting in "Psycho" works even less.
I mean, he was really open about it being more an experiment than anything, right?

No more Mr. Rice Guy
Perfect and poetic indeed.
Good point. I think for me, it's just Rice's creativity and flexibility, coupled with the big vocabulary he employs to make it all fit together mathematically. One of my favorites in "Be Prepared" is the following:
Somebody call Tim Rice pronto. Seriously, dude's lyrics were phenomenal. Especially "Be Prepared" in "The Lion King," coupled with the fact that Jeremy Fucking Irons sang it. Magic.
"Life's a Happy Song" was clearly the theme song of the movie. They even sang it twice (and acknowledged it in the reprise)!
I pull that all the time when anybody wins an award.
You're totally right. Though technically, "Disney's Planes" was under Disney's "DisneyToon" brand. I'm talking about their premier brand, which put out all the Renaissance films, and put out "Frozen" most recently. Pixar's quality has gone down since TS3, while Disney Animation's has gone up, I think.
