New car prices are up to essentially MSRP or above - if you’re lucky enough to even find one for sale. If you find one for sale and you get to pay MSRP, you’re lucky times two.

The one redeeming quality of the PT was it’s fairly flexible interior and ability to carry more crap than you’d expect from looking at the outside of it. The convertible got rid of that one benefit. Silly.

Yeah it was probably like a $200 order had it been in-store prices. Which is still a lot but…I think I could meet that challenge.

It’s a quasi-California-burrito and you’re right, absolutely the best thing in fast food you can order.

This right here. I guarantee that in a few years, car infotainment screens will blast ads just like gas station pumps, unless you pay to opt-out.

Alright, fine. I was trying to be supportive and excited and positive, but sure go ahead and argue semantics.

It’s amazing how definitive regional foods are, as well as how recognizable. Californian-Mexican is very different than TexMex, but they’re also drastically different from New Mexican or Colorado-Mexican and all of the above are different than cuisines from the regions in Old Mexico. Food and culture and how they

Actually in your example, it’s entirely likely that the owner of the stolen bat WOULD be sued and held as partially liable, especially if the bat wasn’t under lock and key or otherwise left in an accessible location.

In almost all instances, damage done by a vehicle follows that vehicle and then to its registered owner. For example, the damage done to the bus was caused by the car and would be the responsibility of that car’s owner (and their insurance)…hopefully his liability is sufficient to cover it.

In some cases, cheap-ish tires don’t necessarily indicate lack of maintenance as much as end of life expectancy. For example, I put Laufenn tires (Hankook’s cheaper line) on my 140k mile BMW because I don’t drive that much and doubt that it’ll make it to the tires’ end of life.  Doesn’t mean I cheap out on normal

Going back to basically the beginning of in-car DVD systems, they were easy to “defeat” either through coding or sometimes a physical manipulation of a shift interlock. I’d be surprised if MB’s “glitch” wasn’t just “oops we forgot to toggle on this setting by default”. Allowing DVD-in-motion was one of the first

One time in college I helped set up the gym for Dashboard Confessional and at the time I thought that was the most impressive logistical thing I’d ever conceptualized 😆

Pre-pandemmy a coworker in the office was a lady who lived far out on Long Island and daily commuted to Allentown PA. She was nuts but loved her job.

Likely he “has” to have a SUV because of the 6000 GVWR rule for businesses.

While you joke…did ya know that the postal service doesn’t require vowels in street addresses? Now you do.

I do only because it’s the location of the closest Total Wine to Philly.

At this point they may just own the port, too.

Ads? Probably not. Friends at restaurants? Jokes on you, I don’t have friends. Tiktok vids of delicious food? Makes me think about it but meh.

Okay, but how much would it have been to drop Comp & Collision on the older car? If it’s the difference between $300 and $700 (also wow that’s cheap), that’s still a huge jump for someone on a fixed income.

Insurance for liability and first party medical doesn’t vary much, but I’d be shocked if older folks are paying (or paying much for) comp and collision coverage on a 16 year old+ car. Those coverages are at least half of my car insurance cost.
