I’ve owned some 180k+ mile Crown Vics, F150s, and a 250k mile Avalon. Snooze.

I don’t experience pineapple burn. I do get a reaction to fresh veggies like carrots and peppers (oral allergy syndrome). I can eat spicy foods with little reaction. Cilantro tastes gross, as do most bitter flavors. I like sour, usually.

Dude come to the east coast. Every suburban household has one of these. I live across from a fancy private school and about half of the vehicles at pickup time are Evoques, while the other 49% are BMW X7s. One cool dad has an Alltrak.

They’re actually closer than I thought. The Defender is a bit wider and taller, but a reasonable amount shorter which makes it easy to park. I’m surprised the turning radius is so bad; that used to be Land Rover’s strong point. The turning radius on a LR4 was less than an Accord.

I’m disappointed there’s not a recommendation for the new Defender 90. So many awesome colors while still being petite enough to not feel like the 4Runner.

Change your horn tone to something along the lines of “out of my way, fuckface” 😆

My opposite-of-this—because-i-am-a-man—who-doesn’t-want-to-offend-statement is that I dislike masks because I can’t do the submissive half-smile of “we accidentally made eye contact but I promise I was just looking at the price of that box of pasta” in the grocery aisle, trying to stay out of the way of every human

My credit union will finance just about anything and, as long as you’re financing 90% or less of the NADA value, charge like 2.5% for a 36 month loan (I think 60 month may be 4.5%). A credit union account should always be something that a consumer has in their back pocket.

Re: Stevie Wonder - this is just another compelling piece of evidence.

I would think given all the options, a box truck is the worst of all worlds, no?  Must get unbearably hot in there with no windows or insulation.

A quick search shows that this may be the cheapest Cayman in the country, although with more than double the miles. Okay price? Not for me, but it seems like this one is very mechanically sorted out.

My mom had that car growing up! It was a stick, too. We also had a Subaru Legacy wagon that was stick with no tach, just a big empty space on the cluster. Like, how much money did that save them, really?!

War on drugs all over again, huh?  Make stiffer penalties for being caught with crack...er, menthol cigarettes.

Did they ever sell the TDI in the US? This might be incredibly rare just because of that alone.

Yeah I think I just fell asleep. The current Gen is AGGRESSIVE! This looks like a mid-90s civic and is boring AF. I know all the TikTok Gen Z kids are making the 90s cool again, but really?

The Hyundai Santa Fe weeps.

It’s...it’s not that. The Agencies know they won’t get anything, but need to try in order to prove due diligence in either a) the next, more “invasive” subpoena or search warrant or b) that they can justify to their superiors to close out the case.

This is only partly true. Check out the cost for (dealer installed) brakes on a Toyota - they are not cheap anymore.

I’m not sure I understand the point you’re trying to make. Should the Jag be more? Honda’s and Toyota’s command their price premium because of the myth of “reliability”.

It’s about the same as a 3 series or C class. A bit more perhaps because the Jag wasn’t as good as the Germans and was overpriced from the factory. It’s still *good*, just wasn’t $50k+ good.
