Having shared cars with a partner - yes. Sharing cars sucks. SUCKS. Even with memory seats. Someone else’s cups and trash left around? Someone else’s hand sweat on the steering wheel? Different ideas of cleanliness or music choice or whatever? Nah. I don’t wanna share.

I had a Sportwagen and a 100lb dog. The hatch head clearance was too low - poor guy whacked his noggin every time jumping in.

Duck is also awesome in the air fryer (as is Turkey breast), with the added benefit that the duck fat collects very nicely in the bottom of the basket for easy pouring and saving for future use. Because we all know, the only reason to eat duck is for duck fat.

The K5 has more interior volume but not more ceiling height. That matters for some people and makes carrying stuff easier.

Idk man. I’m a PA resident so I grew up with the law, but a few times I’ve been out of stare and had, say, a hotel garage pass on my mirror it’s been honestly incredibly distracting. Worse, I had a gf that hung her work ID lanyard from the mirror, the swaying as I turned was enough to make me almost crash a few times.

Stay with me for a moment here. Eisenhower was an...American...president. There’s a long history of British soldiers wearing medals on suits; generally only active military (of which the monarchy is) gets to wear military apparel; once you’re out you’re out.

I think it’s more that they don’t want to stick the nozzle between the rider’s legs 😆

Is it a FCA product from the ~2008 era? 😆

What’s wild to me is that eight years ago, these were selling for the same $9-12k price tag. Used car prices now are stupid. Depreciation curves are all curving upward.

Yeah that’s not a thing. I go to NJ gas stations just infrequently enough that I always forget, step out of the car, and get yelled at. I’ve never seen a NJ station let you pump your own unless you’re on a motorcycle.

Wait, new cars still come with spare tires?

The picnic table in the back of the -02-06 Honda CRV! I rarely used it for picnics, but it came in handy for doing repairs, having a table for papers when I worked on the road, and yearly trunk-or-treating at my kid’s school.

5GT was based on the 7-series chassis whereas the X6 was based on the 5-series chassis. So the 5GT is actually roomier inside. I’m a 5GT fanboi.

I just posted this but, had I not been late to the article, I would have said that I was in support of the 5GT. It doesn’t look that weird in real life (or maybe we’ve grown used to it’s proportions?) and is much more sensible than a sedan or a X5.

I didn’t list it because it was early and I forgot, but I did really like the Bangle era 7 series. I also searched out a F11 5-series GT like you posted, but couldn’t find one near me that wasn’t a 550 so I went with a sedan.

It looks shockingly well preserved, at least the outside. Inside might be a rats nest, but can’t be as bad as what David is dealing with right now. I’m not in California so the registration and smog thing doesn’t matter.

Oh yeah, I don’t disagree. But in my city (and most east coast cities), there’s not even lots or garages you can get into - they’re either full or non-existent.

Parking is the hill you want to die on? I don’t think I’ve ever been to an American city and though “Geez, there’s so many available and affordable parking spots...”.

I’m confused why these exist other than just dedicated turn lanes, especially for the road which has a median.

They’re doing these all over in PA now. It’s not really confusing if you don’t think too hard (which is what most people do), unlike a traffic circle where you actually need to pay attention.
