Is it?  Seems like a fairly reasonable expectation that the restaurant can keep up its own menu and deal with poorly done delivery or food mishaps.

Assuming we leave out the nefarious like ghost call centers...marketing I felt like I accounted for, and they shouldn’t need to keep liability policies (other than a standard business policy) as their drivers are ICs and therefore are personally liable.

From a business perspective, the only way the delivery companies are not making money is through waste and excess. They develop an app interface and hire a few programmers to keep it running. You have a small customer service department to deal with programming and in-app issues; problems with food or delivery get

You raise an interesting point. I don’t have a good answer for you. I guess when something gets into an attainable price bracket, I’d be more likely to give something unusual a shot because it’s less of a financial risk. For example, the variance for “I’ve never had this, let’s give it a shot” is huge if I was buying

Graham’s comments are so laughable. One of these times when a politician says “something HORRIBLE is happening here!!” when in reality most folks are like...we want this to happen? Of COURSE Schumer, Pelosi, and Biden are figureheads - nobody wants them, they’re just there because the Democratic Party is too cowardly

It’s not. But you can say you have a BMW or a Mercedes, and your friends go “ooooh”. You say you have a Jag and they say “awww, sorry” because they figure you’ll be at the shop every other day. Not saying it’s right, but perception (both by and of the buyer) is a HUGE driving force for car purchases.

The XE was fine. The problem was, nobody is going to drop $50k+ on “fine”.

I like the way you think.

Maybe I need more explanation of the app clip. Do you have to re-download, thereby taking time? I know they’re smaller and take less time, but why then don’t they just make small apps to begin with?  And with good foldering, how much clutter is that McDonald’s app, really?

This seems like the best addition to the new iOS release. You’d think they’d would be talking about this more, and not those silly app clips.

When I was married, we ended up paying a ton more in tax. The reason? Schedule A.

They’re “reopening” some offices in my part of PA, whatever that means. We had a pretty high work from home percentage before, and now it’s been made clear that it can be even higher. I hope I don’t see the inside of my office for more than a few hours ever again. Though what i save on gas I spend on utilities, so

I didn’t even know they came in 4x2 guise. Gotta save, what, 2mpgs without the transfer case.

Technically, maybe you’re right, but it feels disingenuous. The 1997 Defender had a starting MSRP of about $29k USD, so about $47k adjusted for inflation. While the 2020 Defender does technically start at $49,900 USD, good luck finding one for less than $75k. Which is stupid.

I really wanted the Defender to be reasonably priced. It’s not.  Therefore it’s dead to me.

In 199-something, my mom was searching for a new car. I remember her driving a Talon and 6- or 7- year old childhood me fell in love with it. Imagine my disappointment when she bought a Hyundai Excel instead.

The Blind said the Musk got bored with a solo relationship with Amber Heard. Which just seems like winning the jackpot on a slot machine only to walk over to a roulette table, bet it all on 00, and have the ball land there, too.

This is, unfortunately, going to add way too much to Elon’s internet-fueled image. Tesla stock is going to hit 2000 by the end of the week 😂

That’s oddly specific and very, very accurate. Been there.

Maybe you’re right. An informal poll of friends and coworkers all resulted in most responses being “I don’t want to say I have the same car as the O.J. chase”
