Untrue.

The car chase one was, yes, but OJ had one too.

Listen. To Jalops, we remember the Bronco as a tough, capable off-roading truck that was pure and good and awesome.

Car makers: “Nobody is buying sports sedans!”

Except, as others have mentioned, the lines to get into a TJ’s are now insane. Nothing is worth that.

That interior was outdated when it debuted in 2014. Lexus has always had the “designed by blind 95 year old Japanese man” look to their interiors. Honestly it’s why I can never push myself to buy one, they’re awful and age so terribly.

What’s wild is that, even on my 5%’er salary, affording my $250k home is HARD when you factor in taxes and maintenance. I truly don’t understand who or how normal people are affording a $500-750k home on reasonable salaries.

My gf lives outside of Cleveland, I’m right outside of Philly. We’ve had about sixty times more cases than Ohio (not really, but feels like it) and nobody gives a fuck about wearing masks or social distancing anymore. People will wear masks in stores because they have to, but there’s no distance in the aisles or

I’ve gone in and paid cash and it still took about three hours. Mostly just waiting. It’s worse than the DMV.

So many questions, Jason...

Bondsman also very frequently fake their bonds (they don’t really hand the cops $1M in hundreds, after all) and it only becomes an issue if they have to front up the money if the person doesn’t show. But usually by then they’ve collected enough cash to float it. It’s all literally a scheme.

The mistake here is to think about ANY stock today as having anything to do with the company. It doesn’t, not really - it’s computer driven trades by funds and brokers with short term dollar signs in their eyes. The stock is auto-purchased when it’s trending upwards, sold when it’s trending down.  Retail investors or

I think if they started doing it in the work truck variety it would gather a fan base. Those buying trucks for jobs didn’t care about the “look”, and I feel like they would trade ~$3k up front cost for 5-6mpg when they’re doing 50,000 miles per year. At $2.30/gallon, that’s roughly a $1150/year savings.

You’re right!  I always forget about them.

There really is no excuse that a hybrid pickup doesn’t exist yet. Chevy had a fairly decent Hybrid Tahoe and sons all the way back in 2008 or so. It didn’t sell well and was expensive, but that was twelve years ago!  If Ford could use hybrid + their 2.7l engine to yield city miles in the mid 20s, and only charge a few

If you want a E90, the N52 is legendarily bulletproof (by German standards); the N54 is okay but finicky and the N55 is great but leaky. The N55 is available for the F30 and is the right choice; the N20 tends to have more serious carbon issues.

The E46 is fairly easy and cheap to DIY. Even if you find an independent mechanic, it’ll be pricy-ish but not terribly more than what a domestic would cost you, unless you use OEM parts which tend to be about double their domestic counterparts.

Cooling system, mostly. Everything was made out of plastic, which isn’t a good idea for stuff that has a lot of heat/cool cycles. Plus any other plastic bits in the electrical system, but that’s true for any older car. The M54 and trans are fairly solid.

Nah...split tailgate or no tailgate. We don’t need two things that open up, we need one that goes up and one that goes flat!
