You’re insufferable. Buttigieg had issues, as do all candidates. He also was the most likely to unite the greatest percentage of democrats, much more so than the Biden candidate that we’re going to end up with.

Like, I almost wonder if they should have pivoted into the city scooter share business, like Bird & Lime. Not even kidding.

It would be interesting to see how much market research has gone into whether or not buyers actually exist anymore. It may not be so much that people are turning away from Harley, as it is that people are turning away from motorcycles and Harley is just taking the biggest hit.

I’m guessing you’re in a place where you can drink tap water? Water-in-the-door is so convenient just so I don’t have to keep a water filter pitcher full in the fridge.

Notice how they have the qualifier “with pork”...?  And never referred to as “chili”.  You add meat or other stuff to your chile and it’s called “green chile stew” or something similar.

I’m intrigued by the people like you that use the grocery-shopping services. Do you really plan out your food purchases that far in advance?  Do you make a menu?  I’m the kind of person who lets the store’s sales and promos dictate what I buy that week, and I find that the circulars usually don’t show everything on

In America it’s much cheaper. Licenses are usually only a few dollars (typically less than $50) and they don’t make you prove any of that nonsense in most states.  The papers pick up the announcements from the license filings. I don’t even know if it’s required in some jurisdictions.

You have the 2.0 in a GTi? It’s not unreliable at all, though my VW mechanic has mentioned needing to replace the blocks on a few 2.0s. The 1.8t from the regular Mk7, though, is essentially the same block as the 2.0 but uses a cast-iron crank instead of forged steel in the 2.0; the cast-iron crank is more reliable,

Point of order, Lauren - you say that Philly is a *slower* pace of life than where you’re from?  Did you grow up in a city where everyone was mainlining Adderall? Or, like, Mercury?  I was born and raised in Philly and I haven’t been anywhere, not even NYC, where people are moving as fast and talking as fast as we

As a philly native I...uh...don’t know what’s weird about that combination. It’s also not weird to see homeless people sleeping next to the spot where the Constitution was drafted, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

Former Mk7 owner here. They’re never going to top that model for the blend of interior comfort and practicality. It’s the best that VW has ever done. Wish that the 2.0 was as reliable as the 1.8, tho.

Exactly.

I’m aware they’re not interchangeable. I had never been to a place in NM that added anything other than the pepper to anything. You order green, you get roasted green chiles. None of this chili verde nonsense.

Huh. I lived in Santa Fe, we only ever got straight, roasted chile.

Your continual transfer between “green chile” (correct) and “green chili” (wtf is that?) is confusing. They certainly don’t mix their chile peppers with meat, do they?

Just last night I sautéed the best, crispiest broccoli crowns...in bacon grease.

Perhaps this consultant is from the same firm that Epstein used?

Parallel parking on the driver’s side: expert mode.

I was just thinking this. Vodka, scotch, bourbon, gin...those are the best snack foods and are also the most costly.

The economist in me totally agrees. It’s unfortunate that cashiers are losing their jobs, but part of the reason they’re losing their jobs is because the checkout experience SUCKED. It’s the same argument about taxi drivers vs. Uber et al; a major reason the former is losing market share is because the experience was
