I’m cool with it because a college degree, or *which* college degree, means fuck-all when it comes to capability or work ethic.

Good point, it’s probably around 1000lbs.

I’ve definitely rented 26’ box trucks with air brakes ;)

I bet it could be done in a different form factor that’s tight enough to the car that they could do a fixed-hitch tongue. The trailer not swaying would make it easier to drive. But otherwise, yeah, tiny trailer that you can’t see on a ball seems like a lot of minor damage waiting to happen.

Considering the base Model3 comes with a 65 kWh battery and (I believe) the Model S used to, I’d venture the X would get another ~220-250 miles of range.

Honestly, it would probably be less rusty if it was submerged 😆

That’s a very aggressive response. Something wrong, bud? Wanna talk it out?

What kind of person rents a $40,000 per month mansion for five or more *years*? Assuming it’s the same renter. That’s fiscally irresponsible, even for the fiscally irresponsible.

I broke up (someone else’s) marriage on Valentines Day.

I agree that Cusack’s Rob is a self-entitled asshole. His big discovery of self awareness isn’t that big or that life-changing, because he’s still kinda an asshole at the end. I think that’s the point; you can work at getting less bad, but overall a person can’t change much and their flaws may always be their flaws.

THIS. I loved the film because Cusack felt so relatable and honest; even in the shittiest moments when the viewer could tell that he was not a good person. Cusack’s Rob was very flawed, not admirable, but he was relatable. I wanted to be as passionate about anything as Rob and his friends were about records.

I appreciate your thoughts, and suppose you’re right. In my case, a vacation would be ruined by bringing the kid or parents along anyway, so I’d rather stay home.

The best solution to prevent getting sick and stuck on a boat: don’t get on a boat. Cruises sound patently awful, to me. A week of nothing but eating and no where to go (or, if you’re at a port, having a prescribed time when you’ve gotta be back on the boat or else you’re stranded)?  Heck no.

Until you try to watch a movie

I have friends in the wine business and the wine importing business. While the price dip is good for consumers, decreased demand plus the threat of tariffs is making it hard for many of them to sleep at night.

As someone who’s done many a financial work up and P&L analysis on Subway franchises, you’re incorrect. The food and franchise fees alone are often 40% of the restaurant’s income. Chips might be sold at 3x cost, soda at 10x, but that’s still not enough to balance out losing 40% off the top, before labor and fixed

I just saw one that was wrapped in matte black. I usually hate that look, but daaaaamn if the i8 didn’t look gangster.

You missed one key point: you are allowed to cut out family members *for any reason you want*. It’s not your responsibility as a human to care for or about them, if doing so makes you miserable or anxious or depressed. Even if they don’t seem “as bad” as some of the examples here.

Thank you for your honesty. Part of the reason my marriage didn’t work was that my ex-wife so idolized “family” and being with “family” and being a happy “family”. That word makes my skin crawl and it’s even a little difficult typing it. She was dismissive of my past experiences and was unable to understand that my
