The author was hoping to get a ton of hits, like most journalists now. The system is broken to the core and democracy suffers. Every time a story like this is posted readers lose confidence in the publication and with journalism in general.

I really enjoyed their games, but it was never a thing I had to rush to. I always waited for a sale. The games largely never evolved into anything more than a good story. 

People need to get hyped about deal shopping. I haven’t spent over $20 for a game in ages. I might have to wait a year to play some games, but most games drop by $20 within the first 3 months. 

I smell my video games! I’m not sure I can completely explain why. It’s one of those odd artificial smells that I enjoy anyway. Kind of like how water from a garden hose has a weird but enjoyable taste (mm, micro plastics).
