I think this is a slightly unfair take. It’s a pretty standard tv pathway for long form storytelling; and if we’re getting 80 episodes of this, it’s going to be one amazing long slow-burn epic journey to get there.

VR games get overlooked or too quickly forgotten. Games like Astro Bot and Moss were amazing experiences. It’s a bummer most major gaming sites don’t even run reviews for VR games in general. I understand not everyone has a VR device but there is a trove of great games to explore that are rarely discussed.

I just don’t think this game will be for me. It seems so brutally slow. I can only really play for atmosphere for so long. Dark Souls has amazing atmosphere, but the world is also full of secrets and challenges.

I keep meeting people who are yelling “get over it” and yet i’ve never met people who are obsessed with the issues and need to “get over” anything.

The fact that people don’t want potentially traumatic experiences from the past that are directly impacting the present to be handled insensitively is reasonable.
