It may look huge, but it was actually pretty small. The overall length was 166.5 inches compared a 2002 regular cab Dakota length of 196 inches. The massive wheels and flares just make it look huge.

I agree. I just loved the idea of this concept. It was supposed to a fun but very cheap and efficient urban truck. It'd be perfect for so many people.

The term 'Goverment Motors'.

How about a compact or mid-size truck designed in the last decade?

The new to the US 3-series wagon.

(sigh)

That's funny because my wife grew up in Wyoming riding around in the back seat of a Corolla. They also got around fine in the rockys with that little car.

When driving in Winter, don't be a cat.

That's funny because before I was born, my family of 5 got along just fine in a bright orange Volvo 142S coupe. So a giant SUV wasn't needed.

It's just always funny to me that it is a need rather than a want. We need a 6000 lb SUV to go to the grocery store and drop the kids off at school. we need 4wd SUV cuz it snows here for a month out of the year. We need an SUV because we might think of one day towing something. Oh, and now that we have this big ass

No joke.

That latest rumor I heard is that they will release a budget version next year called 'malt.'

I feel so honored.

Kinja'd!

It could be the ISL-G made by Cummins Westport. I know PACCAR offers the ISL-G as a natural gas option, so that would be my best guess.

No comment on the MaxxForce 7. :)

Very well written, but as a former Navistar engineer I just had to add a few things.
