Intersteller is another movie where people misunderstand what is going on.  Most if not everyone completley misunderstand what is happening during the ending.

I am confused about where all the anger is coming from.  For me it was a moment of "so we have finally realized there are real threats to our way of life and we have finally given up on the imagined ones".
