Counterpoint, I daily drove an 84 300D in the Bay Area and it was perfectly suited for the job. Reliable, felt no guilt hammering miles into it, comfortable because it’s a couch on wheels. It even carried me from the bay area out to Denver when I moved. No AC while driving through Nevada in July sucked though.

Most of the design tolerances of the Model 3 are already better than any other car in the world. Soon, they will all be better. This is not enough. We will keep going until the Model 3 build precision is a factor of ten better than any other car in the world. I am not kidding.

I was poking around for cheap welders, came across ChuckE2009. Did reviews of a handful of those cheap amazon/harbor freight welders.

I voted CP just because I just spent months looking for broncos before buying my 89, and $7900 is about the top of the priceline. It’s not an awful price, just about a grand or two more than it’s worth. Chalk that up to CA though.

I was struck by that as well when I parked my 89 next to a newer 4runner. The 4runner almost seems bigger in every dimension except for width.

Ahhh sorry, I thought you were implying the Preds had the cup already.

Correct me if I’m wrong here, but uh, the Preds lost in the Stanley Cup finals.

Even guys he’s not playing against are dissing him!

What point is the guy filming the video trying to make when, at the very end he says “That’s why you dont Uber”? Is he saying its the drivers fault for uh, just trying to drive?

Midway through the 4th quarter, before they got a couple of garbage time TDs, Bortles was something like 11-25 for 93 yds, 2 INTs and a fumble. That’s gotta be worse no?

I like to pronounce San Francisco like San Fran-chees-co (kinda like a corny cholo accent). Everyone I say that too either loves it or hates it, but it makes me laugh every time and thats all that matters, right?

The dysfunctional Titans of the late 2000's were so much fun to watch as a Titans fan. VY, Chris Johnson and Pacman were all electric. Reminds me that there was once a time they weren’t NFL wallpaper.

Didn’t you guys already run a story yesterday about a guy getting hung up on The Rock?

An ex named Alex is dating another Alex. I find it amusing, though that name is versatile and I guess they go by different nicknames.

Is MB still making diesel sedans? Either way, my ‘84 300d is holding up great. Damn near 30 mpg, comfortable for cruising on the freeway, plenty of room in the back for adults. Does everything you want out of a daily driving sedan (albeit a bit slowly).

I’ve gotten pulled over three times with my girlfriend in the car and gotten out if it all three times. 2 of the 3 times involve In N Out and the other involves froyo.

I also think venue has a lot to do with show quality too fwiw. I’ve seen a few performers who fell short in a festival setting but were awesome in smaller settings. Contemplating seeing Chance at a festival this summer so we’ll see how he stacks up there.

Saw him at Bill Graham in SF. Relatively small venue, it was my first rap concert and I had juuust started getting into Chance. Easily the best concert I’ve been to. So much energy and personality comes through when he performs live. It was awesome.

1980s Diesel Mercedes. I bought my 1984 300d for $1700 and have been daily driving it to and from work (~300 miles/wk) with almost no problems. Water pump started leaking, so I had that replaced, but that was it. Sure it is unbelievably slow, but it’ll run for a looooong time. This one on Ebay seems similar. EDIT:

While I agree that the NFL should be more lax regarding marijuana use, given its potential benefits for pain management, at the same time, if you’re a player in the NFL, you know the rules. It’s pretty simple, somehow manage to not smoke weed, and voila, you get to keep playing. I have no remorse for athletes who miss
