Counterpoint. How to do an actual performance Corvette look well.

1st Gear: America’s SUV Obsession Means Luxury Automakers Struggle To Sell Lease-Returns

Now playing

I got to do the V-Lab this past September. It was an awesome experience. We did have a little issue with one of our laps in the CTS. One guy did go a little too hot into the corner after going 148 mph on the long straight. I have footage from both his ride and mine. Skip ahead to approximately the 5 minute mark.

It’s funny that their concept of a coupe isn’t a coupe.

I’ve not driven the Lexus, but, I think a lot of people would pick that one based on what I’ve heard...

The M/T is reserved for the upcoming Vantage.

Our path ahead is lit by the burned bridges behind us

Simple designs always age well, something I’ve been trying to get through to Lamborghini for at least a decade. They will not respond to my calls anymore

1st) This is where I get nervous, because aside from a few misplaced fake windows, Mazda’s current products look fantastic - improving on them stylistically is going to be harder than making them uglier, but here’s hoping they keep their current momentum going.

Neutral: Mazda’s Got New Things

Was driving a 2005 Mini Cooper S JCW and wife had a (really nicely tuned) Integra GSR, she got pregnant and began fretting about cars. I secretly took the day off work without telling her and traded the Mini in on a 2012 STI for her (she was going to stay home with the baby so figured that I could drive the Integra

I legit slept on the couch for a month after buying an AMG-GT without telling my wife.

Buys cars sight unseen.

Am I the only one that actually prefers the older analog cluster gauges? I never liked fully digital clusters, just seems like a lot more to go wrong. The digital clusters won’t last as long either since displays have a much more limited lifespan than an analog cluster, especially when exposed to extreme weather

Am I weird for liking the old gauge cluster more? I like the analog aluminum gauges. They look purposeful and sporty. The new LCD screen is fancy, but there’s no character there. It makes the car seem more like an appliance.

Well, I’m glad somebody said it.

Personally, I think the XK-R looked better with its longer hood and it was more of a proper GT.

Somewhat disagree. For companies like Porsche that leverage their racing pedigree, these lap times are a selling point and pretty good advertising.

The concept was clean, the production model is a styling mess.
