I admit I haven’t liked american vehicles as much as when I was younger, but everything GM is doing with Chevrolet and Cadillac now (things like this are a good example) is really starting to make me interested again. Now that I’m a business student looking for a career in the auto industry, I’d be happy to work for

This is exactly why we need to loosen the regulations of OEM headlights

and a manual = all my money +1

Couldn’t have said it better myself. These kinds of cars are wonderful works of art.

You have to remember 200 pounds extra on a miata is going to affect the way it drives more than 200 pounds on most other cars since it’s so light to begin with. That said, I agree with you that it’s not going to make or break it’s sportiness.

Exactly. Simple doesn’t necessarily mean anonymous or boring, it just has to be designed right to look good just like everything else.

Yup, that thought usually comes up once a day while reading jalopnik.

Oh my, I can honestly say I wasn’t expecting that..

First the Lincoln Continental debacle, now this. What’s next, a Nissan that looks exactly like a Maserati?

This is genius.

Don’t remember saying the power output was good? Pretty sure I’ve always had the notion that it should have some more power (again, not a ton more, but some). And crap may have been a little exaggerated but I mean you have to sacrifice a lot in daily driving terms like refinement, interior design, practicality, etc to

That’s exactly it, if you want anything that resembles having power you have to look elsewhere, and that’s one point that hurts sales. I’m not saying that it needs a lot more power, just make it so that the engine output isn’t a negative of the car. The niche of: good handling dynamics, crap everything else, doesn’t

Thing is though, many people don’t want to have to look to the aftermarket for more power. I sure as hell don’t want to spend new car money and then have to spend even more as well as void the warranty just to have something that can pass a Camry. And it doesn’t have to necessarily be through a turbo. Why not offer a

I agree with you. The FRS/BRZ/86 is just too compromised to be a big seller, even for many true enthusiasts. Yes, it handles great and is still fun to drive, but with such a low power output and frankly a terrible interior, you are losing a lot of customers who are looking for an all around good sports coupe. Had they

Oh, and maybe a 488 GTB if I can get around to it.

I think I’m going to buy Pennzoil from now on.

To me, this is the car, perfected. I know some people say “you can get something better/faster for the money”, or “why not just get a true original 911", and I say damn you. I can’t imagine a car that brings so much to the table. Beautiful work of art? Check. Fast? Check. Handles well? Check. Build quality? Amazing.

I think the problem with the DB11 is that it has to fill the shoes of arguably some of the best designed cars, while being different enough to be called all new. My expectations were to see the most beautiful sight in the universe, but it just doesn’t quite do it for me.

Overall I’d say that it looks like a nice place to be, but there are some things that just look off to me (kind of like my opinion of the exterior). For instance, the tilted passenger air vent, how the steering wheel looks like a mini cooper’s, and the slightly over designed seats. But my main gripe is the gauge

This car is the holy grail for me. There has been, nor ever will be any car I want more.
