The stock W58 is trash. The R154 is much better but wasn’t OEM to the SC. It was to the Soarer. Lets not forget the MKIV supra is still based on this car. I’ll be out in this car at Radwood Philly in a few weeks.

You must specify the differences in the 2JZ-ge. the non-vvti bottom end is nearly identical to the GTE. Same rods, crank minus the oil squirters. It has a thinner headgasket so the compression is higher but overall it can hold the same abuse as a GTE if the HG is swapped.

You can indeed. You should have talked to us in the 3VZ-FE and 1MZ-FE Facebook pages. The 1MZ-FE (v6) 6-speed could also be had with a TRD supercharger.

Actually, the 3VZ is a pretty potent powerplant - fiddle with the AFM, advance the timing a few degrees, make a custom y-pipe for it, and round off the flaps on the ACIS , and you're making closer to 225 hp.
