I fail to see how getting an ID is all that big of a burden on anyone. And getting to the DVM or polls is also not that hard or expensive. I know that most people want someone to do everything for them, but if people don’t have the ability to do the minimum for themselves then they will miss out on some things.

If they created a national ID system and issued one to every single American citizen free of charge, and also did things like subsidize transportation to the place where you obtain the card, then we could implement voter ID requirements without the same racial disparities.
