I repeat, as I always do when this question point comes up, why is ESPN (and other liberal sites such as Deadspin) so unwilling to recognize the ESPN is liberal? I don’t care one way or the other (not conservative, and certainly not a Trump supporter), but they are liberal (and this is yet another case in point.

I think ESPN has shown itself to be pretty left leaning, taking the chance to “educate” it’s viewers by beating the Colin Kaepernick and Bruce Jenner stories to death, and following the story of a 6th round marginal football player who happens to be gay with hourly updates. I don’t think anyone outside of that company…

If you resort to calling a black man a white supremacist, you probably don’t have a good grasp of the issues you are discussing.

That rebellion was only 85 years before the Civil War, and the UK didn’t abolish slavery in its territories until 1833. So it would have ended 30 years earlier.

There may be many ways for local communities to address that challenge; though removing offensive statues may be the most straightforward, in some cases communities may prefer to add historical context and explanation.
