There aren't $20k cars anymore but are there a lot of cars for around $25k those $700 a month payments are a choice, no one ain't forcing anyone to spend that much on a vehicle. A base Corolla will get you to work just the same as a $100k Ford raptor. 

Both have been killed off I believe.

A sub $15K car is a cheap car. Anything else is bullshit.

People can do that with a cheap used EV for under $20k that’s got a lot more creature comforts than the old ass beaters...

I hope they make sure to also include under-designed timing chains and associated tensioners, oil passages that become easily blocked, plastic impellers for water pumps, and - oh - just all sorts of other plastic stuff that wears horribly and has about a 10-year-life...because their business model demands catastrophic…
