Cinemark’s Movie Club is $8.99 for one 2D ticket per month. Moviepass, until very recently, was $9.99 for as many 2D movies as I wanted to see in a month. If you go a couple of times a week like I do, Cinemark’s club is pretty much useless. I also don’t buy concessions at the theater (so the 20% off doesn’t help me)

We only have one AMC theater, and it is by far the worst theater in town. I wish Cinemark could come up with a service that didn’t completely blow, as we are awash in their cinemas.

The difference is that while Get Out was pretty sturdily constructed, well crafted movie with a distinct vision, The Purge flicks are borderline junk, from a production standpoint. That being said, I prefer the Purge flicks, specifically because they are junk. I liked Get Out just fine, but I really get a kick out of

Same. I LOVE Marisa Tomei, but that line reading in the trailer makes me cringe every time I see it. Yikes.

Heh

It’s always surprising to me when people express love for the X-Men cartoon. I grew up a huge X-Men comic nerd, it was my everything as a preteen, so I had been waiting most of my life for an X-Men cartoon or movie. When the cartoon came out, I was crestfallen, I thought it was so terrible. I wonder if it merits a

This seems like the most oddly roundabout way of saying “The Ben Stiller Show.”

Yes, and he’s great!

I saw it three times in the theater AND bought the laserdisc (yes, the laserdics) because I was IN LOVE with Janeane.

I was so psyched for this movie. Huge fan of Bob Burden’s comics (Ut!) and an amazing cast, but it just wasn’t funny.

I remembered really enjoying Lost World. So much, in fact, that I recall I went to see it in the theater at least three times.

Beat me to it, so all I have left is Tammy and the T-Rex.

So, although I’ve never had a tuna and corn sandwich, we all agree that the other is bad and wrong, correct?

Damn, was just logging on to post this. Scott and Scott with the scoop!

Those were...special days.

It’s difficult to stop smoking because smoking is really great. I mean, it’s terrible, but also great. I plan on stopping soon. Anybody got a light?

Sunday morning shows are the best. Since I’m a godless heathen, I don’t have to worry about going to church, and the wife usually sleeps way late on Sunday. So it’s a great time for me to get up and out of the house and feel like I’m accomplishing something while still having my entire day ahead of me. I also caught

As a matter of fact, I AM you. Don’t be alarmed. We are great.

I liked the movie a lot. At this point in my life I am pretty much immune to horror movie scares, so I have to settle for admiring the technical work or the quality of the gags. So, I was impressed by the fact that this movie made me physically flinch, totally involuntarily, when Charlie’s big scene happened. I mean,

Saw Hereditary yesterday.
