Amen all all counts. Especially #1 (Jessica Jones and Luke Cage would have been nigh perfect if not for that middle 4 episode bloat).

For some reason my brain glitched, and I initially read this as "Ass are the boobs of the heart." And I've decided I'm going to stick with that.
I'm on your side, Ben. I'm not the Yancy Street Gang. I hope that what you say actually comes to pass. I'm just not optimistic.
I'd wager we'll see the (presumably) terrible Dr. Doom movie before we ever see these characters back in Marvel's cinematic hands. Hopefully the published side of things will have a change of heart in the meantime.
…-shaped ass" is how I was assuming he'd finish that sentence. Cuz that's where Khaleesi's magic is!
They're going ahead with the Dr. Doom movie, aren't they? Seems like they're sticking to their guns.
So wait, he didn't ACTUALLY die? The fuck are you doing with my emotions, Internet?
As an aging nostalgist, I miss the FF of my youth, and love revisiting the Lee/Kirby stuff, but even I probably haven't read an FF book in nearly 20 years. So, I am part of the problem, I'm sure.
Apologies Mr. Grimm, didn't realize who I was talking to when I commented. I understand that you have a vested interest in the publishing ventures of your friends and family!
Why the hand wringing about "character development"? They've been developing these characters for, what, 6 years now? It's about time they started getting to the real shit. Dragons ahoy!
Oh, don't get me wrong, I definitely think Marvel has been sidelining the FF due to the movie studio situation, but all I'm saying is that I don't think there are a ton of people out there who really care that much if the FF disappear.
I had honestly never heard of them until the AV Club started writing about them, so I guess I have to stop coming here?
For what it's worth, FF haven't really sold since, when? The John Byrne run? There have been some acclaimed runs (Hickman, Waid) but for the most part FF hasn't been a popular book for about 30 years now.
I think we're not supposed to like it just because Craig T. Nelson is a fucking nut, but that's still not enough to make me give up my Coach DVD set.
All these, plus, I'm just gonna lay it out there, Mars Attacks.
Meanwhile, Marvel continue to devalue their entire stable of characters by continuing to publish Marvel Comics.
I still wish that was the movie we'd gotten. "First Class" was…ok. But just ok. Magneto Nazi Hunter would have been tremendous.
I had planned to get up and go to the early show on Sunday (first show of the day is bargain priced) but decided to sleep instead. Feel pretty solid about the decision.
Looks like the speculators/scalpers on eBay are already spamming auctions of MIllar's comics with "Netflix!" in the title, so it appears this is a real thing. Now to sell my NM run of "Nemesis"! Huzzah!
Gotta confess, this one got not a double, but in fact a TRIPLE take out of me, as I was certain I was reading it wrong. In fact, I'm just going to go ahead and assume I'm STILL reading it wrong, as it just doesn't compute.
