I wouldn’t buy the mini-Scrambler for only $500 less, even if I was looking for a first bike. Seem to lose a lot for that price.

Great informative review Sean. Once I get to the comfortable enough where I’ll be looking to participate in track days I’ll look into these.
I'm surprised it took this long for Honda to drop Takata
I was going to say the same thing. The more affordable this becomes the better.
You may get your wish. Yamaha released “Faster Sons Challenge Two” teaser video on YouTube which looks like an FZ-09 variant.
I think I read the same UK article as you did and also noticed the pictures didn’t get me as jazzed as the press photos did when they were first posted.
The previous gen Bonnies were commonly listed as good beginner bikes, I would imagine this model would be thought of as the same. Not sure about the ones with 1200cc engines, you’d probably want to wait until the reviews come through on all the variants as power is a factor in what’s good for a newbie but there are…
I curious with the increased torque and this being the Bonnie’s first iteration of ride-by-wire if the throttle will be very snatchy in lower gears.
After reading comments on the ad I had to go and pull it up. It’s weird as fuck.
Wow. That cat used up half of its 9 lives at least. A pickup went right over it early on.
I’m looking at the contact patches - sometimes it amazes me to think that just a few square inches of rubber in contact with the road can keep 500+ pounds of rider & machine, going around a corner at breakneck speed, from flying off the road.
I’m a new rider - 6 months in. I think your advice is thoughtful and good direction. I don’t know anyone who rides, so I had to learn much of the above from the Internet.
Can’t wait to see the review on the new Icon Airframe Pro!
I immediately thought of the same thing when I saw the picture of them side by side. I would have thought for 2016 they would have redesigned the R6 with a fair amount of visual cues from the R1.
Thank you - now I know I'm not the only one...
This is practical in urban areas - if you’re planning on going on a highway with it you’d probably want to stay away.
Finally, a micro scrambler motorcycle that I can off-road in my micro yard. Now if only I was two feet shorter everything would finally look proportional and not completely ridiculous.
I’m in the same boat. Looking for jeans but the ones that make me feel moderately safe are so expensive and the cheaper ones I’m disappointed that they have no other protection other than Kevlar for my “cheeks”.
And here too...
From my understanding, in my area Fire Fighters must be EMT certified. That's great as nowadays they can be first on the scene and rarely are needed to put out actual fires.
