I think it was possibly a chance to win the game, and possibly a chance to get fired if it backfired. Shanahan couldn't lose, and I joked the day he got fired that he should've held that bizarre "press conference" by holding an oversized, Publisher's Clearinghouse check for $7 million. "If it can happen to me, it can

Huh. It's kinda surprising the Georgia Tea Party would reject such a sweet deal.

If we vote for Mark McGwire, aren't we all merely validating the past Mark McGwire is not here to talk about?

That makes sense except for the fact that the Rams get the Redskins' #1 pick next year due to the RGIII trade.

Knowing that you are a Braves fan was enough to tip your hand in re: C.B. Bucknor.

I think they're just dating at this point.

That's all good and well, but when the hell did Toyota start making Accords?

I do believe that sports are a valid part of the educational experience but I also believe schools, kids, and parents put sports on a pedestal that is way way too high these days. Of all the sports a school could ban, football would be the only one I would not argue against banning.

How the hell could you confuse the two?

the hefty guy across from me yelling "WE NEED MORE DEFENSE, BELICHICK," certainly was.

Way to pre-empt me on everything, asshole.
