Road trains are scary. Unless I am on a surfaced road with plenty of space I just pull over and let them past. They take forever to get up to cruising speed so they don't like to slow down for anything or anyone.

LOL, no Skylines in my stable. :)

I'm an Aussie and I don't get this obsession with large trucks either.

Another picture. This Tercel has finished three 4000km Shitbox Rally's through the Australian outback. In this shot the Tercel is towing me and my mate in the classic Mini on a rigid bar. We'd done a head gasket in the middle of the desert, so Pete in the Tercel towed us 200km to the next overnight stop so we

A guy who works for me gave me this a few months back. 471,000km (almost 300,000 miles) on it, very smokey, clutch is slipping, CV's clunking and bushes all shot. I already have too many cars, but hey, it was free and it's a Tercel 4WD SR5. Maybe it will get a 4AGE transplant next year. It looks good parked next

My Mum had one of these from new as a company car (she worked for Toyota). Dad was impressed with it and they purchased it when Toyota was pensioning it off, at just a year old with 10,000km / 6000 miles on it. I partially learned to drive in it. It was traded in on a Hyundai in 1996 with over 300,000km / 190,000

BTW. I think the "4 Runner" is actually a JDM Spec Hilux Surf. :)

Ditto for me and my Super Beetle. LOL

You are living the dream!

I don't know about that location, but where I live, trams always have right of way. If you block one you can be fined. If they hit you, tough, it's your fault.

It is a good system. In our federal elections, less than a month ago, one of the parties was threatening to scrap the tax advantages. It became a major election issue as most of the locally produced cars (Holden Commodore and Cruze, Ford Falcon and Territory, Toyota Camry and Aurion) are purchased on leases.

In Australia there are tax breaks for leasing a vehicle. You can pay one payment for the finance, fuel, insurance and maintenance pre-tax from every pay. You can't make a down-payment, you have to finance the whole amount.

435 of them were probably Shitabishi salesman.

That shape hints at Aston Martin to me...

It's better than the Australian add for the Outlander. It's just a stupid song bellowing "I don't care! I love it!" over and over again with the standard images of smiling childer crammed into the third row. It pisses me off no end that Bitzamissin think anyone could love that boring, useless car.

Try a Classic Mini Van for even more space. For the size of the vehicle the mount you can cram in is crazy!

Yes, it is annoying. Victoria especially, where they fine you for 3kph over the limit and there are cameras everywhere. Queensland and NSW is more sensible, about 10% over before they fine you. Northern Territory, pretty much they don't care how fast you go.

You sir, are my kind of person. You understand that a car like this is more than steel, glass and rubber. Or an expensive paperweight either. They are meant to be cherished and used. They created family memories and then revive those memories again years later. No amount of trophies or money can replace that!

I hope you are joking? Tachos only started appearing on non-sporting cars in the 80's. We managed just fine until then without them.

If this was in the US, I reckon it would end in a lawsuit!
