Actually in Japan it was the "Eunos Roadster" initially.

Heh heh!

Am I the only one that buys the poverty pack because it's not full of useless stuff I don't need?

The reason I drive a Super Beetle now is because of this movie. My son started watching old Herbie movies and this was his favourite. It stirred up a long-buried desire for a Bug. So I went out and bought "Olive". My 74 Super may be one of the least desired models in Type 1 history, but it makes a practical daily

Or this.

Even with the oversize tyres?

I cry when the *Minis* go over the cliff.

So this inspired the Fast and the Furious mods....

I say Good On You for chasing the dream and getting one!

I loved that truck as a kid. Then I drove a Corona with a detoxed 22R and realised how slow this thing would be to drive.

What VS said. Road trips are interesting. They involve friends or family, or maybe one of my classic cars. There is time to stop and look, time to enjoy. Long driving on the same boring road over and over again is just soul destroying...

I get that, but why put it in a Merc 190?

Don't K-series have a reputation for blowing head gaskets? Maybe it's juts in our hotter climate.

Daihatsu Charade GTTi or GTXX 3 cyl turbo twin cam and five speed into classic Mini.

Putting a chev engine in a Merc is like putting a steamy turd into a pretty girl's panties. It will make her run fast (and far) but the result just stinks and nobody will want to be around her anymore.

Look again mate. Right hand side, third pink box down. Mini Cooper. ( I know, I know, to the layman every Mini is a Cooper )

I think the MR2 should fit under "Two distinct luggage areas." between 914 and De Tomaso. (If the 914 is a 4 potter anyway.)

Holden Torana A9X anyone?

Yes, baby!
