That 5 series would have a 4cyl and little of the safety tech of this car. Probably wouldn’t have leather either, or cooled seats, or the good sound system etc etc.

Who else is not surprised to see a Saab driver acting like a pretentious, know-it-all?

Ok boomer

So, who ever is currently in charge of Chevrolet’s design team (I suspect Michael bay) needs to be fired and has no business doing this.

Wow. If this is Hackett’s brilliant idea, Ford is fucked.

I am 11 months into S4 ownership and agree 100%. I thought might get the sportback but I’ve wanted an S4 since the original so I went with that.

I had a SQ5 loaner in that color and it got a lot of compliments.

See I was the opposite: I started out with S4 vs A5, because they were much closer in price after common dealer discounts but... the blue S5 on the showroom floor made it difficult to ignore. I also like that the S5 sits lower.

I’ve had a S5 Sportback for 22 months now, and my feedback on it:

Must be the picture. The center console sides are leather, the area around the shifter is a brushed aluminum and the trim is real carbon fiber. The cup holders are a soft touch plastic. Nothing cheap feeling anywhere and I am VERY picky about that kind of stuff.

They’d sell about 12.

“One of the few certainties in life right now is that this car will only come with an automatic transmission. Acura hasn’t had a manual transmission in its line since the 2014 TSX, and I bet they won’t be smart enough to bring it back in this car.

Anything that runs is probably faster than a Giulia.

It’s getting old. There’s no novelty left in that joke. Yes, it’s a BMW. And it wouldn’t exist any other way. Get used to cobranded sports cars, because it's the only way they make financial sense to produce

All auto manufacturers need to be consolidated and RUN BY THE GOVERNMENT!

That’s why the Yugo was the most amazing car ever made!

I’m just sad Mergio Sarchionnes wasn’t here to see his dreams come true.

Blackberry was first to the smartphone market, and Steve Jobs came along and “Porsched” up the design. Faster, sleeker, better made. First to market is a very temporary advantage. Generally second and third to market take the lead, then pretend they’re first to market.

You could put an ultramarathon sticker on the back window, but for the car.

In my experience, it’s the deer that run out at the last second that I hit, not ones sitting the middle of the lane. If they can predict a deer running thru a corn field out of sight and then straight into my passenger side door, then we’re talking,

I think that probably depends quite a bit on the skill-level of the driver. If she/he cannot heal-toe (like I can’t), then I bet an auto will be much faster around a track.

In any case, we’re on the same page, here. Just look at the performance differences, weigh that against how much more you enjoy driving the manual
