Yes, by expense I mean it’s a business expense and reduces my profits-thereby reducing my taxable income. That is one reason why you see luxury cars leased by businesses-while trucks tend to get purchased. 

The lease interest rates are usually quite low. But your point is valid. There are other reasons to lease though-no maintenance costs, new ride every 36, you get a company car allowance, and the big one-for me anyway-is you can expense the entire payment. CHeck the residuals on the RS3. It was significantly less to lease an S4 than an RS3, even though the RS3 had a (slightly) lower sticker price. I’m guessing the residual on this will be...not great. But I don’t really care TBH.

My S4 lease ends in spring 2021. You never know-it’s out of my price range now but it’s not impossible to think it won’t be then.
