I can’t divulge how I know this but they are making this actually. And you’re spot on with the underfloor fuel tank and transverse drivetrain. It’ll even have those extra/fake vents for aesthetics and a big, wide butt to keep the trunk roomy.

That’s a valid use case. Wish Elon would explain that reasoning in the tweet for us non-electrorific drivers but that would require consulting his PR department.
True. It’s like a resort you travel in.
I doubt it's a lot of Europeans as it’s 10 times faster and much cheaper to just take a train if you’re traveling from anywhere within Euroland.
Maybe it's the angle but it looks like it has almost no rear visibility. The rear window is practically a roof.
They really need to add prop guard/cage thingies, that’s obviously necessary when human beings will be piloting/swapping batteries near propellers that are knee height. Would add a bit of weight further limiting the range.
As a project manager in the regulatory affairs department of a major California water company, it is my professional opinion that you’re deflecting. I have more reason than most to believe that environmental regulation is arbitrary as every county I have a project in has their own definition of due diligence.
If you NEED a truck, you’re not going to buy the model offered by an electric startup. I think their target audience is going to be the person who wants a third car and is deciding between an electric that is good for commutes and a truck for the occasional hauling they have to do.
The worst (unreleased) driving video game ever was a game Penn & Teller made as a joke: Desert Bus.
The owner still has to pay the deductible and potentially have a higher premium. It makes sense to destroy the shops reputation over this.
I don’t think the engineers that built the Veyron and Chiron would do a good job with an SUV though. They spent the last couple decades pushing to the edge of performance you can get with two seats and air conditioning so their idea of what costs/compromises are acceptable for a car may be different than almost anyone…

I had a 2005 S40 T5 (manual FWD). So very similar to yours. I just calculated it and over 20 months/50k miles, it cost me about $0.30 per mile.
People will buy the cheapest thing that meets their desired level of quality/features. In a simple, idealized economy anyways.
NEVER list your phone number on craigslist. Only give it out when you are scheduling a meet up with potential buyers.
It’s for responsible young drivers who want to know how their family cars will perform before hooning them out.
Read the article before chastising a dead mother.
No, they pay the new guy a raise of like 5k to take on the position that the retired person had.
No not at all. A startup cuts corners because of the risk of it soaring by literally a 1000x return on investment.
