Yeah, and then you get alerts about a major result in the middle of watching the competition. But NBC’s shitty coverage is a whole different conversation. I am more pissed-off about the Olympics as a whole being a shady, shitty, corrupt and bankrupt organization that is supposed to stand for world unity through

It is, it’s just at a funny angle. You can see the blue lines on the snow, which mark distance and make the slope move visible.

I watched this entire thing live (whoops, gave them what they wanted...) and trust me: Nobody was hurt DESPITE the FIS’ decision, not because the decision was right. There were some really dangerous crashes that never would’ve happened in better conditions.

HUGE part of that is the tape delay though tbh. All the fun of turning on the TV at 2 in the morning to watch an event is ruined, and all in the name of commercials. It doesn’t even flow better, the awkward stop/start/skip competitors format is just terrible.

Growing up is learning about how shitty the Olympics are, to the point where it’s hard to enjoy them. I loved the Olympics as a kid so much.

Let the tomatoes fly at the Olympic organizers for this blunder!

the yin and yang S shield is a brilliant “why didn’t someone thing of that before” idea. Big improvement on his original shield.

Coke Zero > Diet Coke. I even prefer the taste to Normal Coke, I know that’s not a popular preference.

It’s a matter of convenience, not flavor. Hummus and baby carrots are my sad desk lunch when I didn’t have time to make a sad desk salad.

And carrots.

Sure the sexy fish thing is strikingly unusual, but outside of that, this plot has been done with aliens and animals in various forms.

When I worked there, however, we were not allowed to price-match TRU’s own website... which was a constant source of confusion and anger to customers.

the feeling of being too cold or too hot is a matter of relativity. i find 20C to be unpleasantly hot because i grew up somewhere that does not get very hot. i would imagine the reverse is true for fahey.

Me too, but ...it’s ...her ...biiiiiirrthdaaaay...!

If you watched the first movie (which I thought was also quite delightful), they explained that Paddington is capable of doing a “hard stare” expression, which his aunt taught him to do “when people had forgotten their manners.”

This movie has the most remarkable cast in a kids movie that Ive ever seen. Its just perfect casting all around.

Guy gave away free BBQ to firefighters on CA fighting those wildfires with brutal, long lasting shifts. He seems like a genuinely nice person, that comedian had it right.

Oh fuck you, clearly you have never worked...at all.

The amount of people who think that someone doing a service for you means you can treat them like garbage is fucking astounding.
