The comic didn’t work because of that, and also because Frank saying “don’t be like me” just makes them want to be like him even more. Modern conservatives have really started to subscribe to the concept of the nobility of the sin-eater.
A lot of it makes sense, yes. Picking Bran as king, perhaps not so much. Kinda comes out of nowhere if we’re being honest. The problems with the writing started much earlier though, as we all were complaining that the expedition beyond the wall to catch a wight was an obviously terrible plan, to the point that it was…
No it wouldn’t have. Killing Cersei is the absolute last thing Jaime would want to do. He was in love with her. Remember when he pushed a kid out of a window for her? That was AFTER he’d done the very noble thing of sacrificing his honor to save King’s Landing, not before. There is no straight line that goes from…
OK class, today we’re going to cover the topic of “characters and their ability to say things they don’t necessarily mean”.
“Everybody gets one!”
It’s kind of funny how it’s the role of Geralt in a relatively low-budget TV streaming series that has signalled Cavill’s ascension to true stardom, rather than his blockbuster role as Superman.

Would you believe it if I told you that Neal McDonough already WAS in Friends?
Deadpool is only like Deathstroke in EXTREMELY superficial ways.
He’s right though. I don’t even need to have BTS access to tell that we’re a long way from a Deadpool 3.
Dude tweets the end of the movie and it’s the fans who are dicks. Hot take, bro
The sequels took nothing away from Luke. Anyone who thinks Luke was incapable of succumbing to bad decisions in the heat of the moment needs to watch the OT again.
The new Disney continuity’s EU has more or less confirmed that he got out of the Sarlacc, and fanboys are constantly asking when he’ll be back so they might as well acknowledge his survival and use what is at the very least a perfectly serviceable character. There are plenty of existing characters that the show would…
The worst part is that we’re stuck with the Sequel Trilogy now because Carrie Fisher is dead and so it’s not even possible to dream about redoing the trilogy. That’s it. That’s all we’re getting now. Any future sequels have to follow that.
For a Jedi, the offering of an idea of becoming one with the Force after death IS comfort. It’s like when a person in real life dies and people go out of their way to tell the family that “they’re in a better place now”, “God must have needed them”, or “you’ll see them again”.
You’re hired. I want a 15-page treatment by Monday.
It makes me so happy to know that Benioff and Weiss ended up not getting their Star Wars trilogy. I just hope the Covid-19 cocooning means George can finish Winds of Winter.
Grant Morrison’s consolidation of the lore in Batman RIP was/is beloved because it is the exception rather than the rule.
Hard disagree. Dark Knight Trilogy was awesome. Donner Superman was awesome. Wonder Woman was great. None of those were camp.
